Inky stared wide-eyed at her new Pokemon. Cyndaquil blinked up at her and gave a small smile. The girl squealed and grabbed the fire-type in her arms. She embraced it, smiling even wider at the warmth the small being radiated. "Hey there buddy!" She said happily "We're going to have a great deal of adventures!" "Cyn! Cyndaquil!" He cried, excited. "Let's go!" She giggled, placing Cyndaquil on the ground, waving farewell to the professor (after thanking him) and went out into the forest.

After a while, you encounter your first pokemon!

A little pichu runs up, eager to play with you and your pokemon! Little sparks come from its cheeks, and it bounces around excitedly.

Inky let out a squeal. “Cyndaquil look!!” She cooed, dropping to the small Pichu’s level “it’s so adorable!!” Cyndaquil looked with envy at the small thing and nodded with a fake smile. He walked up to it and prodded it with his nose, small sparks forming between them. “Ooo I think she likes you.” Inky whispered “You should talk to her.” Cyndaquil sighed and reluctantly started chatting. Inky sat back, watching the two play. After a while, they started to warm up to eachother and were running around in circles. Only giggled and fished around in her pocket for the single pokeball her father had given her before leaving to go to study different regions of Pokémon. Her fingers wrapped around the cool orb and she took it out of her shorts. The girl leaned forward and sat on her heels, gaining the attention of the Pichu. She held out the ball in her palm. “Little pichu?” She asked “Would you like to come with me? I’m sure Cyndaquil would love a new friend.”
