*DISCONTINUED* Rares List Guide (1 March 2019)

Whether the list stays and gets updated/revamped or retired it for me will not change how I value my pets or how I trade my pets. I also have done a lot of off site trading. I have in total 730 list pets. I paid based off this current list as well as current demand. There is no way even if the list were to retire would I just be okay with trading what I paid 2 nons based on current list value for anything less especially for pets that are not currently on the list. I would just stop trading and hold onto my pets. Again that's just me & my opinion with what I would do with my pets so I wouldn't expect of feel anyone else would need or want to do the same. Everyone get to choose for themselves what they want to do with their pets and how they would continue to trade. I just feel with several lists people when trading are just naturally going to want to reference the one that favors them in that circumstance. The only list I could really get behind in one based on the actual numbers but still in the back of my mind will always remember what I paid.

I believe that if there is a small gap between the winning option and the runner up there will be a second poll without the option that didn't get as many votes

This is just my opinion, but I feel like if Bunny's poll gets enough responses another on this thread shouldn't be needed since their poll both allows people to pick from selected responses and type their own thoughts. It's the best of both worlds.

Lol nickjr I'm going to assume you didn't mean to imply I was uneducated Whether it is considered proper grammar or not you have to admit quotations are often used for emphasis and in this situation I highly doubt the use of the quotation marks were to imply sarcasm, they have been used to draw attention to the word The.

As far as the claims that C$ is not valued/desired, it has been far from my experience, most of my lists came about directly or indirectly as a result of C$ trading.

I might be defining emphasis differently--my gut reaction was "oh heck no I've never seen quotes for emphasis" (my gut reaction when I saw the quotation marks around the The in the title so many years ago was "oh so this is the unofficial big List that people keep on referring to and it's important enough that people in vernacular say "the"") and then I thought about it harder and realized "oh wait, I don't consider this usage emphasis but if I tweak the definition a bit... yeah that's emphasis......." welp

I don't like the list at all, I really hope it retires. The confusion of how often it changes and it's structure was really daunting for me. And the nature of it all is really non-inclusive if you don't understand exactly all of it.

ravens are very low on the list yet their value and demand is insane..

It's because of their look. Many people want them. It will always be an economy issue <3 <3 It's like everyone wanting the name brand, but they stopped making clothing items long ago.

Missed the train but I’d like to point out the Raven was only RARE until 2011, it really belongs on the 2nd tier considering when it became VR. That’s why it’s very low on the list, so many were bought it was rare for a while after. It’s demand is very inflated and moving up would be very hurtful to those trying obtain one

I’d like to view some of the responses of the survey myself, it’s a very interesting one and asked all the right questions

Was there an agreement on the explanation of the current poll? I'd really like to put it up today but i won't be online forever lol yay for timezones?

The survey is on the front page and i'll change the title to ask people to come back and check once the explanation post also goes up?

@targaryen, thank for the explanation that makes perfect sense. I can understand the reasoning behind that.

Personally, I think it would be easier to trade with assistance from two separate lists, one for rarity and one for demand, and use my own perception +communication with trading partners to determine a pets worth. and that's what I'll probably do when those are completed.
