Echo was so focused on his thoughts that he didn’t realize that he was about to run into a dragonet. A MeadowWing princess to be exact. He jumped in surprise when he made contact and immediately started to apologize, his embarrassment clear. “I-I’m so sorry! I was so distracted that I didn’t see you!”

”It is” agreed Firefly, glancing back as other LightningWings began to depart from the festival. “It usually lasts a little bit longer but it seems as if everyone is in a hurry to get home after all that” He sighed softly, wondering what would happen now. His mother would be accusing the other tribes of whatever had happened.

Oasis nodded in agreement. It made sense that the source of all the noise would be a LightningWing rogue but who would be powerful enough to reach every single dragon in Osia. She shook herself then hurried to ask her question. “I-I wanted to ask if you knew of any ShellWings that might’ve been with a SunWing at some point...” She wanted to ask before Otter had a chance to leave. Fennec had come to stand with Roadrunber. He glanced to him and studied him carefully before nodding at his words. They would indeed be leaving soon.

Bluebell was shaken out of her thoughts as the cavewing bumped into her. Oh, my apologies. It's fine. Just because she wasn't ALWAYS such a princess, that didn't mean she couldn't be polite when she wanted to. She looked back at the cavewing, thoughts from before flitting back through her mind. Do you know what that weird sound was? Did you hear it? It looked like everyone heard it, but if someone didn't, that can help me find out where it came from. Oh, sorry, she added as she remembered her manners, I'm Princess Bluebell. Just call me Bluebell, though.

Strike shuddered as the noise came to an abrupt halt. Silently, he started to pack up his jewelry. The scarf he'd dropped in the heat of the moment was safe, at least. He hadn't sold anything, but those awful noises were gone, and he was relieved. Too relieved, in fact, to question their origin.

Eagle swooped in, having fallen behind the other MistWings to chase some butterflies, on the festival, looking around in confusion, cringing from the aftermath of the loud noise. “What was that?” She huffed, to no one in particular, gaze roving over the crowd for another MistWing.

Ash was dragged out of her thoughts when her brother nudged her. She looked up to find that she was back at the meeting place for the Mistwings. She saw her Mom, Charcoal, and smiled at her, then turned back to her brother. "I'm going to miss you." She lowered her head and pressed her forehead against her brothers, her multiple horns bumping against his.

Feather hummed a bit and pressed back. "I'm going to miss you too." They stayed like that for a while, uninterrupted by the outside world, taking in the other as a whole because they knew they wouldn't see each other for a while. This happened every time they parted ways, as it usually was for separated siblings. But they had chosen what was best for each of them, and they didn't regret it. They just missed each other. The silence was broken when Feather chuckled and sighed. "You got me this great gift and I couldn't get you anything." Ash pressed harder against him and murmured "We got to spend time together, that's all that matters to me." Feather smiled at his sister and pulled away, "I should probably go find the Ivywings, Dad will be worried." Ash rased a wing in goodbye and he headed off.

Otter tilted her head slightly as she mulled over Oasis' question. "Not personally," she said after a few moments. "I've heard my Father saying things about a couple of ShellWings being infatuated with a SunWing on a occasion. Of course he claims his sister, my aunt Algae, had a fling with a SunWing once. If you could give me a name really quick I could see if he's maybe mentioned them or not."

"There surely couldn't be that many ShellWings interested in SunWings," Roadrunner said with a soft chuckle. "I'm actually surprised there's more than just the one we know of."

"Y-You don't have to apologize, it was my fault for not paying attention" He glanced briefly to where his tribe was gathering. His voice held some panic but it was starting to return to its usual quiet tone. "I wish I knew... I heard it and I was wondering where it was coming from..." His milky eyes widened when he heard that the dragon he had run into was a princess. A fresh burst of apologies began to come from him before he remembered his manners and introduced himself. "I-I'm Echo. It's nice to meet you..." He looked away, clearly embarrassed. He glanced around when he heard someone ask about what the voices were. Echo would have answered if he knew the answer to that question. He glanced to where his tribe was and saw that they were starting to leave. "I-I should go..." He hurriedly said along with another apology before hurrying off to catch up with his tribe. The CaveWing didn't want to be left behind as he didn't trust himself to find the tunnel without getting lost

"Quite a bit. I would be surprised if mother wasn't hurling accusations at the other Queens while trying to defend herself from what they hurl back. "Knowing father, he will likely accuse me" Firefly did his best to not use his powers. The piece of jewelry and a spyglass for looking for tiny details were the only things he had ever enchanted. He was afraid of losing his soul and those two things were enough to scare him. Only because he felt as if a void had opened up after the enchantments were done, taking pieces of him and replacing them with terrible things.

"My dad's name was Scorch..." answered Oasis. Her father had never given up the name of her mother even when he was very ill with no hope of recovery. Fennec had taken care of her even when her father was in good health but even he didn't know who her mother was. Oasis always imagined her mother to be a kind and beautiful ShellWing.

"You would be surprised at how many fall for ShellWings" Chuckled Fennec softly, remembering his dragonethood friend falling for the ShellWing. He never learned her name but knew Scorch had loved her dearly. Fennec himself had fallen for a MistWing bard who never returned his feelings but he had moved on with time. He glanced to Roadrunner, studying him once more with an almost knowing look

Ash watched her brother go for a bit and then turned to look at her mother. She walked over and greeted her mother with a hug. They each told each other what they did and Ash asked Charcoal if she knew what the voices were. The older Mistwing did not but she listened to her daughter's theories for a bit. Ash eventually decided that she was going to go look for her friends. Scanning the sky she spotted Eagle, who looked slightly lost. Ash raised a wing to try and get her attention. Their jobs had them interacting a lot so they had grown to become friends over time.

Feather walked away from his sister slowly, he knew they would see each other again but he already missed her. He noticed another Ivywing, Birch if he remembered correctly, heading in the same direction. He guessed it would be safer to walk back together if the voices came back again so he casually made his way over, raising a wing in greeting. "Hello." Feather was perfectly ok with walking back in silence, as would probably get lost in his thoughts, so unless the other dragon initiated a conversation he wasn't going to say anything else.

Spotting a raised, familiar, mostly pale wing, Eagle hurried over, a smile on her face. “Ash! There you are. I couldn’t find anyone for a minute. Are we leaving?” She questioned, curious.

"Scorch," Otter said softly as she tapped a claw on her chin, trying to remember if her father had mentioned a SunWing by that name. "Turtle? I think I remember my father mentioning a ShellWing with that name being with a SunWing with a name like that. Don't quote me on that though." She sighed softly as she heard someone calling her name. "I guess I really should be going then. Here take these, a tradition in my family is to give a shell to those from other tribes as a sign of goodwill. After today we need to spread all the goodwill we can."

"Well that's a start," Roadrunner said before blinking when the ShellWing handed him a shell. "Thanks, I agree after whatever that was I have a feeling goodwill between the tribes will be hard to find."

Birch jumped slightly and whirled around ready to defend himself when he heard someone address him. "Oh, it's just you Feather," he said with a soft sigh of relief. "Sorry about that, this whole mysterious voice thing has me more on edge than I thought." He glanced over at the hybrid and remembered that the older dragon knew a lot about history and old legends. "Do you know if anything like this has ever happened before?"
