AAAHH!!! A fish forum!!! <3

How many fish tanks do you have: Only one currently, until we own a house >:D FYI, it is a 125g with two canister filters and quite a few air pumps; my list of fish next will make you panic without that info.
Types of fish that you have: Cold water! Pearl Scale, Ryukin, Oranda, Lionhead(maybe Ranchu, he's still young and really hasn't developed his wen) and Fantail Goldfish. White Cloud Minnows, Panda Corydoras, and Bristlenose Plecos. I do still breed my yellow rabbit snails in here, but I really want a separate tank for them for better calcium management.
Your fishs' names: Very generic, I have bad luck when I name them :/
How long have you had fish: (do not share your age!) oh geez, I've been keeping fish for a very long time. I even used to breed and show them with my local fish society!! Probably about, 10+ years now.
Also if you have pictures of you fish we would love to see them! If you have a tank with a lot of fish you are welcome to just put a picture of your tank. If the images are large or you have a lot please post links.

My favorite fish, that I still wish I had : https://scontent.forf1-2.fna.fbcdn.net/ ... e=5CB32A7D

My current tank!!

It's hard to get a picture of the whole tank unfortunately, but I've got java moss, amazon swords, valisneria, variety of the anubias sp., java fern, water wisteria, and at least once a week I steal duckweed from my housemate's tank xD it's definitely their favorite snack after seaweed. I try to do at least a 30% change every week on them, and try to do a variety of foods! I don't plan on ever showing these guys, they are my just for fun tank!

I love your goldfish! I'm such a goldfish nerd, haha.
What is that little fish that was your favourite? Is it a kind of goby?

Yesterday my two new goldies got added to my main tank after two months of quarantine. It's so awesome to see them finally all together and they all get on great <3

SAME!!!!! Goldfish are my favorite all around!!!

I love finally introducing new ones, they are always so excited!!

The goby is a Mugilogobius tigrinis as far as I know! I've only seen them the once. They had been breeding too and I had a pH crash kill them all :(

I loooove breeder fish from Thailand for bettas.... but always have trouble adjusting them to water in the US. :/

I wish I had more plants in my tank!! Buuuut my goldies' favorite hobbies include rooting up all my plants that I like :'D

@rancid taquito
Just make sure to have enough room!! Butterfly tails are so nice... My favorite breeds are pearlscales and blue fantails!

I was looking at maybe a thai micro crab, but I don't know much about them so uncertain. I was also kind of hoping for a dwarf frog, but alas they get too big and need more space and groups so no-go on that too. I have a feeling I might end up having to just go with a shrimp or snail, but just wanted to see if anyone had other ideas!

Anybody got any ideas?

Salut!
I wouldnt do a dwarf frog (I assume you mean african dwarf frogs) because they need a minumum of ten gallons of water or else they have a habit of becoming overweight/underweight with a lack of room.
I would suggest getting shrimps or snails that are geared towards cleaning such as a ramshorn snail (they clean well and if the population grows to large you can allways feed them to larger fish such as chiclids or mollies, these also are slightly better about not devouring plant life as they usally would take agae over aquatic plants) or a cherry shrimp (these prefer a non agressive enviroment so its preferable to keep these with only small catfish like a cory cat,loaches and or snails), rabbit snails are also options
I hope this helps
if you have any other questions pm me aha

edit;
ok a huge tip if you are considering crabs or other invervebrates PLEASE AVOID PRODUCTS CONTAINING COPPER
its extremely toxic to em

How many fish tanks do you have: 1
Types of fish that you have: Oranda Goldfish
Your fishs' names: Brainie Goldman

How long have you had fish: 1 day

Hello Everyone! My name is Emma and I am a new fish owner. I have never had a fish before in my life, and my roommate surprised me by getting me a fish for my upcoming birthday. He’s a little Oranda Goldfish and I was told he is about 1 month old. I have him in a ten-gallon tank for now since he is still a smol boy :) I’m really excited to have a fish. Any tips for a new fish owner?

Here’s a picture of him!
