I have never seen a club/thread like this, I love it! Count me in!
I've taught myself to spin poi about a year ago. I bought some cheap ball poi from MoodHoops and watched tons of youtube tutorials xD I am still learning of course, but it's already really neat to see how far I've come and to imagine how far I'll go!

I started my flow journey with light/pixel whips, then I started learning rope dart (I’m obsessed) and now I’m learning poi as a base to learn the meteor hammer later on! I literally just started self teaching poi like two days ago 😂

I would really love to learn to hula hoop; that's next on the bucket list!

Hey now~ Just wanna say how glad I am to see some fellow flow artists here, even if it’s only just a few of us.

I’ve been spinning poi for more or less 7 years. A couple of guy friends were the first ones to introduce me to the flow arts and I took it upon myself to learn as much as I could about it to try to impress them. I first started out by putting tennis balls inside long socks and swinging them around like that. After several months of practice, I eventually graduated to LED poi and then to fire poi.

I’ve tried my hand at fire staff too. Before I had the staff, I used to practice by spinning broom sticks around. Though I know quite a few tricks, I’m still not terribly confident with the staff yet.

I’m interested in learning more about rope darts. They look really cool and fun to play around with.

They ARE super fun and surprisingly easy! My first dart I just ordered off amazon, it was a diamond metal head and I don't think maybe that was the best idea for a beginner but I wrapped it in vet wrap so I wouldn't kill myself with it x'D Once you get into wraps and kicks and tricks its complicated but I feel like once I have a concept down its easy to work with, the only downside is you need a LOT of room to work with it to its full potential, which sucks because winters are brutal where I live

I would love to learn rope darts myself! i'm limited on space myself, though, and I'm sure my landlord wouldn't be stoked if I practiced in the house. xD
