Base Coat Dilutions

Postby canis, » Sun Feb 10, 2019 3:23 pm

Common Cream (Crcr)- single cream genes dilute the base coat, as well as lighten the mane and tail
Uncommon Double Cream (CrCr)- double cream genes create a double dilute coat; these horses will always have blue eyes
Uncommon Champagne (Chch or ChCh)- a gene that dilutes the coat, but often includes a pink speckle skin, a shiny coat, and hazel or amber eyes
Rare Pearl (prlprl)- a coat dilution that only works as recessive; may have amber or blue eyes
