"I see." Bard retreated from the room, and tried to forget what he had just seen. "Y-young master has a discolored eye... and Sebastian-san has fangs... no, no Bard, that was a trick of the light, they are perfectly human and perfectly normal..." Bard looked up. At the top of a bookshelf sat a small cat, purring contentedly. Bard's eyes gleamed with a wild light, and he leaped, landing on a chair just to the left of the bookshelf. "Cat, I am afraid that I must remove you form the premises. You were a good shadow for a while, but now you've exposed yourself. Unfortunately, my young master is allergic to cats. Therefore, you cannot remain in this household any longer!" Bard made a desperate lunge for the cat, knocking the chair that he had been standing on over, and gripping onto the edge of the swaying bookshelf. "Cat, if you do not leave peaceably, I shall remove you by force!"

I keep six honest serving-men
(They taught me all I knew);
Their names are What and Were and When
And How and Why and Who.
I send them over land and sea,
I send them east and west;
And after they have worked for me,
I give them all a rest.
I let them rest from nine till five,
For I am busy then,
As well as breakfast, lunch, and tea,
For they are hungry men.
But different folk have different views;
I know a person small~
She keeps ten million serving-men,
Who get no rest at all!
She sends 'em abroad on her own affairs,
From the second she opens her eyes
One million Hows, two million Wheres,
And seven million Whys!
