Phoenix was alone, sleeping in the desert. Her wings were spread open. Later, she woke up. “Is anyone here?” She called. Later she flew off, searching for a dragon, but she bumped into a cactus! “Oww it’s prickly!” She laughed loudly, taking the prickles out of her fiery scales. When there were no cactussy prickles left, she flew on searching (for a dragon, not a cactus!) and seeing an unfamiliar shape of a dragon in the desert.

Echo offered a gentle smile the nodded. He looked at the shell in surprise then looked towards Otter. The CaveWing didn't want to offend her so he chose to accept it although he didn't want to take an extra shell. "I... I like that tradition. Promoting peace and goodwill is wonderful. Thank you" He smiled softly then gently put the shells and pearl he had been given into a box for safe keeping. He then picked up the carving he had been working on and set to work once more.

Phoenix sighed. The dragon-like shape in the desert had disappeared. She spread her wings open. “Hey, is anyone here?” She cried loudly though almost the whole desert, flapping her wings fiercely. “I am waiting...”

Ash had already discussed the Mistwing-Ivywing relations with their representative so she was free to wander around with her brother. She had a decent paycheck from her occupation so she was looking forward to buying her brother something with a story. Most of the stands displayed jewelry or trinkets that did not catch Feather's eye. Ash had bought a meat kabob from a Sunwing to munch on while they wandered and she had to admit, it was delicious. She stopped walking when she noticed that her brother was no longer matching her stride for stride. He had stopped to look at a stand, run by a Cavewing, that seemed to be selling statues.

Feather was walking along with his sister when he saw a shop filled with delicately carved statues. He recognized many of the figures from stories he knew and even saw his favorite. An Ivywing named Lynx. He stopped immediately. Somewhere in the back of his mind, he noticed that Ash had stopped as well, but that was irrelevant. The legend of Lynx was so old yet so amazing that it persisted throughout centuries, but sadly some details had been lost. To find such a detailed statue was amazing. He had to at least see it up close. He hurried over to the Cavewing that seemed to be running the shop, and in his excitement, forgot to be shy.
He pointed at the statue and asked "Is that a statue of the Ivywing, Lynx, of legend? It's so detailed, you even got the scar from when he fought off a pack of wolves defending the village during the worst winter in recorded history. Did you know that he once flew for six days straight to get a cure for some hatchlings that had caught a disease that everyone had thought had been eradicated, only to find out he himself had it as well? And one time he saved an almost complete stranger by pushing them out of the way of a falling tree, he ended up getting crushed instead and got impaled by a tree branch. But the stranger got a concussion and passed out from hitting head on a rock so Lynx, with probably several broken bones and definitely bleeding out, carried the stranger back to his village to get them medical treatment." Feather paused to take a breath, realized he had been rambling and flushed in embarrassment.

Echo returned the wave then returned to his work. He worked quietly for severl moments then looked up when he thought someone was at his booth. He looked at the older dragon when he began to speak, listening to everything he had to say. Nervously, Echo began to speak once Feather was finished. "It is and I have read the legends. He always seemed like such a nice IvyWing..." Murmured the CaveWing. He was nervous about making himself look stupid so he tried not to say too much. "I think he was the most difficult to carve but I am proud of the result..."
