Hey so I thought of my fursuit prop that I was looking for. As I said, Nanook is based off inuit culture and I got so shook when I found that out because I wanted to include some stuff from like “brother bear” somehow (also I just saw that movie last night to remember, and I forgot how much I loved that movie as a kid). I then thought if I made a big plush necklace totem that would be perfect. I’m going to fold paper to look like it and then work with that as a pattern. If anyone has any ideas which animal I should make their totem that would be awesome c: Feel free to pm or post. I don’t bite and I love getting PMs about stuffs!
XD also I need a tag eventually but I don’t like my own art lol. Can’t ever be easy

im about to attempt my "fur"st fursuit head!
i just need a hot glue gun, which my mom might get later.
I dont have any fur but thats fine.
Its just gonna be a basic canine head, not anything special.
is using someone elses fursuit head base as a reference count as plagiarism?
I’d say if it’s too similar it could be bad...like try to add some differences maybe (eyes are a huge one). Since it’s your first time, I assume you won’t be able to perfectly copy (hec I can’t XD) a base but I’d say if it helps you get the face shape and proportions you need, go for it <3
Also hot glue guns are pretty cheap! Like 10-15 USD and 5 USD per pack of 100 glue sticks. Good to see your persuing your suit. Are you going to make your character (avatar)?

I sure do hope so ;y; I am going to desperately try to get in their queue next year, as I don't have quite enough for a down payment atm.
The dutchie they made is
so cute!

its looking good so far!! im sure you will already be doing so, but adding more foam to make the cheeks and all pop. id also try to give the bottom jaw some shape and making the ridge between the eyes a bit more gradual. smoothing the top of the head base so its more rounded will be beneficial because sometimes suits will look boxy when its not too rounded. also its hard to tell from this angle, but it seems youve got a bit of a taco snout going on? adding padding on the front and sides of the muzzle should fix it! i didnt know much to criticize since its only a wip, so i may have stated things you just havent gotten to yet
