For a limited time, the first 10 people to join, generate cats, and keep their Clan active for 3 in-game "days" will earn a random wishlist pet and their chose of 1000 SP or 5x tea pots from the store!

The goal of this game is simple: keep your Clan alive. As long as you can keep your Clan alive, you will earn rewards, in-game currency, and more. If your Clan dies out or if you choose to restart your Clan, you won’t lose what you’ve already earned, however. You’ll just lose the point bonuses and have to start over with the new Clan.

You will have five cats to begin with. You’ll get to choose their names and genders, everything else will be randomly assigned to them. The person who assigns you your cats will be your mod for the rest of the game, so feel free to ask them any questions you might have. These cats are your foundation stock and are very important.

The first thing you’ll want to do after getting your foundation stock will be to assign them stat points and post them on the thread. Your mod will check to make sure it’s been done correctly, and then you’ll be ready to begin. All foundation stock cats start at level 24, however this does not mean they are 24 moons old. They may be older or younger, but keep the aging rules in mind when you assign them an age. They must be at least 20 moons old to breed AND of warrior or higher rank, and can be no older than 168 moons when they get pregnant or attempt to mate. Note: it’s unlikely a cat will reach the age of 168 moons or 14 years, but biologically speaking, that’s when cats stop being fertile. Crazy, right?

Once that’s all said and done, your mod will edit your spreadsheet and you’ll be good to go. You can start requesting your first rolls and doing art/writing after that, and that’s where all the fun and complicated stuff comes in.

Rules

Super Basics

• You begin with five cats. You request them simply by stating your Clan name and the names/genders of your starter cats. A mod will then ask you where you'd like to found your Clan and tell you all about each region.
• You lose if all of your cats die. You are allowed to restart at any time. Unless you buy an extra Clan spot, you can only have one Clan. All of your Clans must be taken care of. You may only have a max of two Clans per MegaTerritory location (North/South/East/West), and only one Clan in each location can claim an Ancestral Blessing.
• Cats may only breed between Warrior rank age until they are 168 moons old.
• Cats age 1 moon every 3 in-game "days."
• Cats will starve if not fed for 3 in-game "days" in a row.
• Once you have requested or forfeited all of your rolls, your “day” will end and you can ask for a new day after the repercussions of the past day have been sorted out. If you choose not to write or draw for that “day”, you may only request three days every 24 hours. If you choose to write at least 100 words, or draw at least a clean-lined sketch, you can request as many days in a day as you would like. Just be careful; repeated rapid rolling increases your chance of something bad happening.
• Every 3 cats in your Clan need 1 serving, and this is rounded up. So starting with 5 cats, you need 2 servings.
• Twice every in-game day, your cats may go on a general patrol. This is where you’ll have the highest chance to find new cats. General patrols also have a chance to encounter enemy cats, predators, random events, or to get into fights or skirmishes. If that happens, cats will be rolled to see if they are injured and how badly. Then the herbs needed to heal them will be decided.
• Whenever you post on this thread you need to link to your spreadsheet your mod gives you. Link to it anywhere on your post, but it needs to be there.

Rolls
A basic overview of what the rolls are and do:

Daily Rolls
These must be done or forfeited to complete a day. They can be done once a day.

Herb Gathering - gather herbs for your medicine stocks. Depends on a cat’s herbalism skill and has a chance to bring back 1-6 herbs.
Hunting - hunt for prey.
Patrolling - go on patrol to secure your borders and find new cats.

Actions
Actions that do not have to be done to complete a day are here. These can be done at any time.

Crafting - depends on your cat’s Craftiness skill and determines whether or not an item you want crafted is actually successfully crafted.
Trading - send out some cats to trade with other animals and cats. Depends on your cat’s Sociability skill and has a chance to bring back various items that cannot be found on your territory.
Scavenging - send out some cats to search for various items that can be crafted into other things or sold for Star Points. Depends on your cat’s Intelligence skill and has a chance to bring back 1-6 items of varying rarity.
Tunneling - this is an action you may only do once every seven in-game days. This will exhaust the cats involved and they cannot go on rolls or patrols for three in-game days. However, this will give you +1 free space in your Clan for another cat.
Herb Planting - this is an action that you may do only if you have herbs to plant in your inventory. You may use 1 herb to plant in your garden to be harvested in 2 posts.
Herb Harvesting - if you have done the “plant herbs” action and your mod says it’s time to harvest, you do this. Each plant will yield 1-6 usable parts.
Gemstone Digging - dig to find stones for your inventory to be crafted into wearable charms. Depends on a cat’s Digging skill and has a chance to bring back 1-6 stones of varying rarity.

[Chinch Bug]

The cats of this Clan inhabit dense swampland from which they gain their name. They live in the harsh north, commonly having thick, long coats and being large and well-muscled. They're a tightknit group who aren't too fond of meddling in another's business, valuing loyalty to family and the Clan through thick and thin as well as hard work, thus causing these cats to strive to serve their Clan for as long as possible, some even becoming apprentices at 5 months old.
Once they were a thriving Clan among 3 others, but when the second war came, they were all slowly driven towards extinction. SwampClan stood their ground the longest, both due to their own strength and their unwillingness to fight for the others, though some of their cats had still chosen to flee before their lives or family could be stolen. All that remains now is a small group of 5, surviving with but a weak link to StarClan and a dying hope of regaining the rest of their, even if not by blood, family.

"Hey, guys, guys!" Fuzzpelt rushed into camp, kind of expecting to find someone there already. Unfortunately, it was completely empty aside from her and the tortie she'd brought with.
"There's no one here..."
"Sorry about that, everyone else must still be out..." Fuzzpelt's tail dropped as she awkwardly sat down to wait. "I guess we'll have to stay here. They'll be back soon, don't worry!"
"Sure sure." The tortie mumbled. Honestly, she seemed like some sort of grumpy elder and yet she seemed to still be fairly young.
The two waited in a bit of awkward silence, broken only by Fuzzpelt's chipper, uncharacteristic to the Clan, friendly attempts at starting more conversation and a quick shutdown from the newcomer.

After a while of awkwardly waiting around, finally someone showed up, causing a deflated Fuzzpelt to perk up at the sight of two ginger toms making their way back into camp.
Pinepaw and Snakeclaw were muddied again after roughhousing a little on the way back, though stopped abruptly with their chatter after seeing the unfamiliar tortie. Pinepaw was about to speak up when Snakeclaw pushed past him, growling with his ears back and lips drawn back to show his teeth. "What are you doing here?" He demanded of the newcomer, who's fur was bristling despite her sitting otherwise quite calmly where she was.
"I was invited." She answered briefly as Fuzzpelt pushed her way into the gap between them.
"Er, yeah, could you not fight? Lizardstar said if we found someone who wanted to join, we would all decide together whether they can." She explained, attempting to calm the aggressive cat down.
"How mousebrained could you be? She's an outsider." Snakeclaw growled right back.
Pinepaw stepped in too, now. Being almost as big as his mentor, the tom pushed Snakeclaw away.
"We should wait for Lizardstar." Fuzzpelt stated, leaving it off at that. "He should be back from his hunt soon."

And back soon he was, dragging his prey along with a limp that was quickly noticed. Snakeclaw and Fuzzpelt both quickly forgot the intruder or their argument, rushing to Lizardstar's side to see what was wrong and found the bite on his leg.
"What happened?" Demanded the tom, his tail lashing.
"Bit by a snake. Where's Spiderleaf?" He asked, looking around after dropping his prey, giving a curt nod of greeting to Pinepaw and Amelia who were both staring at the leader.
"She's not here. I'll go find her." Offered the apprentice, not waiting for an answer and instead sniffing the ground to get a sense of which direction she'd gone of in then darting off without a word. Lizardstar settled down, licking at the wound while his brother and deputy settled near him, worried clearly. Amelia was not different, though she kept her distance for now, keeping watch for Pinepaw instead. Thankfully, he'd caught the medicine cat on her way back, making his trip out and back to camp fairly brief, though still gave time to give a small briefing to the medic, despite him not knowing much.
Spiderleaf pushed the worried cats away, inspecting the wound upon her return.
"Is he going to be okay?" Asked Fuzzpelt, watching Spiderleaf doing her work.
"He will be if I can find some snakeroot and marigold." She spoke, raising her head with a sigh. "Stay as still as you can in the meantime." She commanded the leader without turning to him, already making her way back out into the swamp.
"I could help!" Shouted Amelia, moving to follow her. "I know a bit about herbs."
"Uh, sure, you can come." More cautious about the tortie being a stranger than sceptical about how much she may know, she still agreed, causing the molly to speed up and catch up.
"You should eat then, while you're here. Me and Pinepaw can go make sure we have enough for the rest of us." Asserted Fuzzpelt after a moment of silence. "Snakeclaw will want to stay with his brother." She spoke more quietly, looking at both the ginger toms.
"Alright. Stay safe. Unlike me." Lizardstar joked with a small purr to reassure everyone that he was fine, sharing the rabbit he'd so triumphantly caught right before getting bit with his brother while they left.

The sun cast a dusty-pink glow across the sky, bleeding slowly under the mountain caps. Two cats quietly filed down an old rabbit's path, crickets bounding out of the way of their marching paws. ''Malak, come on.'' The lanky tom urged, the breeze among his whiskers. ''We don't want to get lost.'' The tortoiseshell knew all too well what happened to the cats that trailed off, to the cats that disrespected the paths and borders set down to protect them - The earth would gobble them up, with its stone teeth and clay maw. The wild-flowers shivered, as though sensing the cinnamon-tabby's heavy thoughts, the breeze that wound through them whispering the warning over and over - Nobody wanted to get lost, not even the most powerful warriors dared disobey the paths before them.

''I'm coming! Don't worry about little ol' me...'' Smirked Malak, strutting along with her tail held high. ''I think your muzzle is turning grey, Reyes.'' She poked at the tom's muzzle, dark-brown eyes shimmering with mirth. Of course, Reyes' muzzle was fine but she liked to let him think so otherwise - It was in the terms and conditions of their friendship. By now, shadows threw themselves over the wild-flowers and draped themselves lazily across the whispering shrubs. Malak noticed with some curiosity the falling of the stars, their flame-white tails drifting into darkness - It was beautiful, and somewhat humbling to stare up into the infinite sky.

She was just a tiny dust mote, if that at all. The darkness stretched and stretched, like the wings of some celestial bird. The moon was it's ghost-blind eye and if Malak stared long enough, she felt watched - Not by Reyes, who was now standing bemused as to why Malak was just gazing at the sky, but by something beyond her. It was humbling and terrifying at the same time.

Reyes batted sadly at his muzzle, suddenly self-conscious. ''I'm not that much older than you.'' He grumbled softly, nibbling at the grass-tips that peered out of the dry earth - There was nothing as far as Reyes could see and considered calling it a day. ''...Malak? Are you okay?'' Reyes turned to the sky, wondering what on earth she was staring at. ''Ah, yeah...real pretty.'' Reyes murmured, standing beside her and staring into the vast open. ''...are we being watched? It feels like we're being watched?''

The celestial bird above did not reply.

Belial sat quietly, sun-yellow eyes watching a hare a little ways off. ''Hey, Nasim.'' His voice rough, as though his throat were studded with gravel. Inclining his head towards the nervous prey, Belial's eyes flashed with want of challenge. ''Do you think you could catch that guy?'' A tom of odd charm, he was wise not to underestimate his leader - Nasim may only be kit-sized, but Belial had been on the business end of her claws in the past. She was as fierce as she was tiny. Some cats wondered why Belial didn't just crush her skull under one of his large paws, and his response was simply that of loyalty; Nasim had earned his friendship, and his last breath would be hers. He would not end up like his parents, not his father nor his mother - He was their son, and his own cat.

A small red/silver tabby fell gracefully into a stealthy position without a word - Soft paws trod over sun-baked earth, white whiskers twitching in the murmursome breeze. Shadows fell over her, shrouding her presences from the motionless hare - It sensed something, like doom approaching on soft paws. A gentle smile curled Nasim's lips as she braced to pounce, recalling one saying or another. An old warrior had told it to her, at the end of a long and solemn story. It had struck a chord and remained with her since.

In the end there was no crying. Only stunned silence.

On the way back, Nasim padded alongside her companion. After a few moments of struggling with her catch, Belial had quietly offered to carry it for her, to save her from tumbling over it's long legs - It was a proud catch and it was worth the few scratches she'd earned. ''Do you think we'll have a good bounty this moon?'' Nasim mused, nodding wisely when the golden-tabby replied with a soft grunt. ''I hope so too, we've suffered enough.'' Although she did not believe in any particular spirit nor god, she felt that someone had to be watching out for them - They couldn't be the only ones around for miles, the land tumbling in every direction. ''Do you believe in a god, Belial?'' Nasim sighed, glancing at the world-weary warrior. ''I don't, but wouldn't it be grand to be able to pin all your troubles on some deity or another?''

''I think it would suck.'' Belial rumbled suddenly, glancing at Nasim. ''I know a thing or two about being blamed for the wrong-doing of others.'' He explained solemnly. ''I wouldn't want to do that to someone, made-up or not.'' The golden-tabby seemed sad for a while, a despair rippling through him like a current. ''Come on, let's get back before the sun comes up.''

The bengal moved slowly through the flowers, nosing at delicate petals and shying away at sharp thorns. The srcublands were in full bounty and Xenia was excited to pluck at it- It wasn’t just the poultices that she was excited to make but the poisons too. Under a star-filled sky, Xenia had abandoned the path and struck out towards a crumbling tower - It had fallen prey to wind and wear, a ragged black shape tearing a hole in the sky. Nobody had been there for centuries, aside from her gentle paws, silently padding over cold white sand.

The srcublands were in full bounty and Xenia was excited to pluck at it- It wasn’t just the poultices that she was excited to make but the poisons too. Under a star-filled sky, Xenia had abandoned the path and struck out towards a crumbling tower - It had fallen prey to wind and wear, a ragged black shape tearing a hole in the sky. Nobody had been there for centuries, aside from her gentle paws, silently padding over cold white sand.
