The tip of Falcontail's tail twitched in slight annoyance. It was not that he was mad at her directly, he wasn't. He was just more annoyed that no one seemed to trust him. He softened a bit when she explained herself. With a shrug he rolled his shoulders and uncoiled his tail to stand. His ears flicked and he leaned forward a bit to peer into the forest. "I suppose I would rather go hunting than be babysat. And yes, I lived in a Clan before this." His voice was void of emotion, and he kept his face blank as he returned his gaze to her.

Riverstorm had turned away when she mentioned the squirrel. His ears flicked forward and he immediately dropped into a hunter's crouch. Creeping forward on silent, large paws he slid into the long luscious grass of the meadow, mostly disappearing from view. His jaws parted and he made sure to keep the weight off of his toes. He could hear the mouse scrabbling in the grass, probably looking for seeds or grains to eat. In a fluid motion he pounced on the creature pinpointing it's exact position mostly by luck.

She buried the squirrel and parted her jaws to scent the air once more, this time spotting a large, fat crow pecking the ground in search of seeds. She swiped her tongue across her jaws, excited at the prospect of such a meal. She stalked forward, gliding over the earth soundlessly, and poised herself atop a root, ready to leap on the crow, when suddenly a bush rustled and the bird cawed in alarm, flapping it's wings as it excaped upward. Thinking quickly, the she cat leaped onto the trunk of a close by tree and pushed off of it, her body flinging backwards, her belly exposed to the sky, and she lashed out with a forepaw, catching the bird by it's left wing just as gravity caused her to fall mercilessly to the ground, taking the crow with her. She lashed out with her other claw, catching it's neck just before she landing with a chilling 'thump' onto the ground. A wave of pain shot through her and she shuddered, realizing she'd soon be sore from such a fall onto her back. Yet she had caught the fat crow, which was at least a plus. She stood up stiffly, standing almost straightlegged as she attempted to stretch out her soreness.

Riverstorm's head shot up, the dead mouse dangling from his jaws. His ears were perked and alert, his green eyes stretched wide. He couldn't help the feeling of horror that washed over him. He bounded through the grass and towards Venomfrost. He dropped the mouse and moved towards her, his head tipped to one side. "Are you okay?" He questioned. Riverstorm wondered why he felt so concerned. After all, he barely knew her. He supposed that any clan cat would be concerned for another member.

She glanced over at Riverstorm, who seemed worried. She opened her jaws to make a retort that she was just fine, when her eyes softened. The tom was simply concerned for the safety of a clanmate. A perfectly innocent act. So she shut her mouth and simply nodded. "I believe so." she said slowly, stretching each of her paws in turn. Her pelt was laden with dust, and vigorously, she shook it out, bending her neck to pick up the crow. "But I caught this at least." she added through the mouthful of prey, her voice slightly muffled. Her heck ached holding the large, plump crow, and she quickly set it back down. "Nice catch." she praised him, her voice warm, and a slight, slight purr rumbling in her throat.

Riverstorm nodded. His ears flicked and he straightened up to look around the meadow. His paws were a bit sore, though he was sure that her back was worse. Shaking out his coat he peered around for a moment longer before turning back to her. "Maybe it is best of we call it a day,"
he meowed quietly. For some reason his pelt prickled with unease, and he was anxious to move back into the cover of the woods. Riverstorm leaned down to pick up the mouse and the rabbit in his strong and more than capable jaws. He lifted both pieces of prey easily, leaving her to carry the bird. Unable to speak with the food in his mouth, he moved into the trees, as silent as a shadow.((I have to go to bed. I will be on, possibly for a longer span of time, tomorrow after school.

Streamspell;Camp:
Quickly growing solemn as he seemed to transition to a more serious bearing, she let her vehement, depthless eyes avert to a point just past the tom in the timid way she always had done at first meetings. With a indistinct swoop of her delicate head, Streamspell breathed an airy chuckle under her breath. "Good choice, we already have a bunch of kit-like apprentices that need babysitting. What would you rather hunt-- forest-prey or fish? Beaver's Cove is a good place to catch some of the easier fish, while the forest is teeming with rodents and birds at this time of year; they're practically leaping into our paws!" Even though she was still curious of what his origins were, it was not her place to be digging into his past, and she could tell by his curt reply that he wasn't interested in elaborating. So instead she made no further mention of his history, hoping not to ruffle any pelts, and only gave the most faint of nods to show that she had heard him. Streamspell gave a shake of her long pelt before getting to her dainty paws, and craned her neck to glance back at him, awaiting his reply with a similarly vacant expression-- so as not to exhibit any lingering curiosity.

She nodded and picked up the bird in her jaws, beginning to follow Riverstorm. Then she remembered the squirrel and quickly whirled back around, padding over to unearth the prey. Nosing it over her head, onto her neck, then letting it fall onto her back, draping over it, she trotted carefully back to Riverstorm, following him as before. Her paws had a strange, tingling feeling running through them. Perhaps it had to do with her fall. She thought, shaking off the feeling and taking a few large steps to bring her beside Riverstorm, matching the toms strides. He eyes wandered from tree to tree, glancing at random things as they neared closer and closer to camp. Although she hadn't though she would, she'd enjoyed this hunt. Riverstorm wasn't such bad company after all.
