I'm seriously considering not collecting anymore.
Majority of all the uncommon pets I needed became rare, and I know people are going to double or triple the price and even ask for more. (I cross trade w/ FR treasure). I'm not gonna be too happy about it. And now majority of all the pets I need on CS are rare, very rare and OMGSR. I literally want to cry.

Now I really feel like I won't accomplish barely any of my 2019 goals.

i restarted everything
and went for rats because most dont like them so i thought itd be easy
but those darn omgsr tags are going to ruin that since everyone wants that purple bubble
augh i know they say everything is still worth the same since everyone shifted but
i just know demand is going to spike for a lot of litters

this rarity update KILLED my collecting! some pets im even collecting that were not rare before (and some still shouldn't be imo) are now rare and that means people will want way more for them :I it honestly sucks I might have to close several if not all of my collections now :,)

You're all giving up way too easy. Pets change tags all the time, yeah this one was a bit more impacting, but seriously? You wouldn't give up a yearly collection because the UR turned OMGSR or the rabbit you don't have from easter turned rare. Why give up now because some pets finally have their true value on display? Why linger in negativity? Power through it and tell yourself it can be done, because it can. Collecting isn't easy, it never has been, but if you're going to give up or restart because a rat's tag matches it's true worth, then you're just hurting yourself in the long run.

I’m actually really glad that the rarities got updated- so many old uncommon pets are rare now which I feel was long overdue and so many pets that were just released are very common which makes much more sense. Additionally the event pets aren’t all uncommon any more, they actually vary in rarity. I just feel like things make more sense. I am surprised about some of the random litter outcomes that turned Rare though lol some were very unexpected especially in litters that are less popular like ponies.

My goal is to get a full store pet collection and so far I have 125 of them!

It's been harder to collect the ones I need since some of them were added to the advent list and now it's going to be extremely hard considering more of them turned omgsr. But nothing is impossible and hopefully one day I will reach my goal!

Don't despair, this update was actually really good. Because, as ZEL said in the announcement thread, uncommons and other tags are now much closer together value wise and the gaps more equal. So we can finally forget this 'a 2011 uncommon is worth 4 2013 uncommons' because now we know that's not true. It'll make things much easier in the long run, please don't give up. Just give it a few weeks for the uproar to calm down, it can still be done! ;o;

is there a rarity math post anywhere? does "4 commons from one year = 2 uncommons of same year = 1 rare of same year = 4 uncommons of later year" or whatever it was, not work anymore? i'm not great with rarity math to begin with so would love some input, lol.

I've decided to open back up my dragon collection and put my lion collection on hold. I'm collecting all tess, western, and eastern dragons next. I only have 11 to go.

Questions for people with lion and eastern dragon collections- did you include the triceratops lion and the ferret eastern dragon store pets into your specific collections? I didn't really, because while they use the lines, I don't consider either of them to be the same species. Thoughts?

I personally did count the triceratops lion when I was collecting lions because it has the sane lineart and looking at it there with all the other lions, it just looks like it fits.
