Okay I just noticed this guy went up in rarity...making him my second Very Rare...but I'm still miffed over the massive hoard of VC's and OMGSC pets ToT guess I'm gonna start to dump them all in the pound cuz no one is gonna want to trade them

I have a question about the rarity: is an commen pet of 2013 existing (nearly) as often as a commen pet of 2018?

usually (from what I remember) common pets were mostly those that were freshly released meaning everyone adopted/had them. The more people active/who adopted said pet the more common the outcome became and thus the longer it takes for its rarity to drop (go from omg so common -->vc-->common-->uncommon-->rare and so on) The outcomes from blankets have a pre set rarity (how often that outcome comes about) but the more one adopts that pet the more "common" that pet becomes because a lot of others have it thats how a litter can have a supposed uncommon outcome become common then the rest be vc/omg so common since the common is the rarest outcome out of the whole grouping thus will be the fastest to go for rarity standards it just takes years... sometimes less depending on the hoarding situation and how many people have that pet . To be honest I am not shocked that the nons are now omgsr people were hoarding them and searching for them sooo frequently so it is about time their rarity got bumped up.. I just wonder if one day a rarity will be added above that once we have x amount omgsr of course I am sure that is something to think about years down the road

Anyways point being it takes years for rarities to go up they have finally done 2010 pets and it took 8 to 9 years for those guys to finally go rare granted that was our vc to rare and omgsc to uncommon but thats what I always talk about when it comes to the long game if you can hold onto those pets eventually they will be worth something it is just easier to get them when their rarity is weeeel less. Just take it as an opportunity to get those pets that were once extremely hard to obtain because all the recent pets values have changed so it shouldn't be as hard to trade as you think.

Well cool thing is one of my pets moved all the way up to omgsr so that’s nice. Also I like this update a ton because it makes more sense for rarity and trading them to get a better accurate fair trade.

Some OMGSR pets need to be put down to VR again. the omgsr tag is now over used. nons are getting mistaken for other litter outcomes causing either major overpay or underpay.

After a few hours of getting used to the new changes I can say that I really like them.

I think this'll make trading a LOT more fun and a lot more fair for both people involved, now letting us dictate the true rarity of the pet easier instead of having to take accurate dates and events into consideration.

Obviously, with only 7 rarities it can't be perfect, in order for it to be perfect we'd need 20 rarities.

But overall I really like this change. A good amount of my pets have dropped in rarity but a few have also gone up! Which has allowed me to get a couple VRs which is very exciting.

I think it'll take some geting used to and I predict some wobbles in the trading economy (especially with rarer pets and listies) but it should even out soon enough.

honestly im kinda disappointed, so many of my pets went down in rarity its not even funny, trading was already hard now its going to be 1000 times harder on me at least really even more so with pets I do want going OMGSR :,) here goes to a lot of pet sorting and hard trading and understanding new rarties.

they're rare enough to be omgsr, now, so it'd be unfair to move them back down. rarities aren't decided by mods/users, they're decided by a system that takes into account how many active pets there currently are. in order to change them back we'd have to go back to the old system, which wasn't as accurate and made it easy to undervalue pets that were actually very valuable.

Kinda disappointed because all of my trading pets are now very common or omg so commons, when they used to be uncommons, and it's probably going to be impossible to trade for rares now because I lost all of the rarity in my trading groups .

I appreciate the work put into it though! Hopefully it'll get easier for some of us folks who weren't rare in the first place :,)
