Big Rarity Update - read for details!

I feel it would have been better if they had also changed it to 8 categories instead of 7.
A very common = a rare now? (Hamster vs rabbit in the update provided). That much of a difference just seems insane...

My #1 goal on CS is to get a rare from the adoption center...

If you mean the Pound, then it actually won't be any more or less difficult than before^^
The Pound picks the pets that will be put into openings based off their rarities, so that there's only a certain percentage of each rarity chosen.
Today's changes do have the implication that we will now see less diversity in 2010/2011 pets than in previous openings, because there aren't as many non-rare ones left to pick from, but the actual amount of rares per opening still won't change from what it was like before.^^

While this is definitely a jarring change for many, i think this site is about a heck of a lot more than just the pets (although those are really awesome as well don't get me wrong on that! <3 ) I mean we have the community itself for one thing, the role plays, events, the art and tons more that makes this place pretty amazing! ^^

i think they mean that our wl rares may have changed, so the wl pets we see in the pound wont be rare?

This is awesome! Even though some of my rares turned uncommon, and some of my vrs turned into rares, I still think this is a huge benefit!

People can change their wishlists any time they want, so I don't think this would prevent anyone from reaching their dream of getting a rare from the Pound^^ Sure, it's some work to go through the archive again and switch out pets, but it's far from an issue that can't be solved c:
