The tom listened quietly to the warrior's interpretation of their cooler season, tilting his head to the side slightly as the tension dissipated itself from his shoulders as they walked deeper into the still sleepy forest, his ears twitching gently with the rustling of leaves, mostly caused by a soft breezed the eventually brushed against the bodies of both cats. - I see... - He mewed softly in an understanding manner towards her words about the sunlight reflection. He guessed that would just be another thing for him to worry about when the season came.

His ears perked up at her consideration towards his idea, which made him shoot her an almost hopeful glance. - So you don't think it's a dumb idea at all, Pipitpounce? - He questioned softly. If the warrior did as much as think about his idea, then he was sure it definitively was something worth of his mentor's time, to put it that way. - I guess... if it is something possible we really would have some time to grow stronger. Maybe even hunt them down while they're frozen or something. - He continued, after a few moments of silence as they advanced on their journey through the forest.

Cinder backs further into the den as the creature stumbles inside. The stench it brought with it was almost unbearable, but that was not the main issue; it was blocking their only way out. "Sun... You've experienced this before, how do we kill it?" She whispers, her gaze never leaving the half-dead cat. She believed the odds to be in their favour, considering how they outnumbered the thing three to one. They would have to work together if they were to get out of here alive.

"i'm glad we agree then. doesn't make me feel as bad," kieran said, only half joking. he closed his eyes for a moment while he considered their options. they could call it quits and go their separate ways, or change places, or keep trying their luck here. "can you climb? i think a lot of the prey is still in their nests, up in the trees. we can try our luck hunting above ground, if you can." it was a bit more dangerous, but then again, so was going without food.

"any edge we could get, i think we should take, even if it's only a possibility." pipit answered. there was no doubt that the clan was fallen on hard times after their leader's death. he hoped that tansythorn, and, in turn, eeriestar, would hear the apprentice out. pipit wasn't the smartest of cats, and she knew that, but she still saw the sense in his idea. "maybe the disease or whatever it is will freeze along with them. either way, if we have a chance to safely get rid of them, i think we should take it. maybe even use something from the twolegplace to kill them so we don't touch them."

snowcreek hesitated a moment, not wanting to leave his mate alone in the forest. but he eventually turned and ran for camp. anxiety drove snowcreek to run harder, faster to get to tansythorn. she said a few days! his long legs carried him into the camp, his tail twitching fearfully. "tansythorn!" he called out when he saw the medicine cat, "tansythorn, eeriestar's kits are coming. follow me, I'll take you to her." he forced himself to keep his voice calm but his mind was racing. the normally eloquent and cool tom suddenly felt completely out of his element.
