Hopefully the change will be good overall. I think it'll take awhile to adjust to that most monthly adopts are likely to be very common instead of common though
Thought someone might be interested in some statistics. However these only take into account the pets in my trading groups, overall the change might look different.
All numbers are rounded off except for the rares.
Pets in my trading groups
Before rarity update
Omg so/very - 200 (Around 5 omg so common)
Common - 800
Uncommon 300
Rare - 67
After rarity update
Omg so common - 100 +100
Omg so/very - 600 +400
Common - 350 -450
Uncommon - 200 -100
Rare - 55 -12
Edit: adding a bit to this now when I'm not rushing to not be late.
That the "rarity" of my trade groups has mostly gone down was rather expected, considering most pets are from 2015-2019 and that those uncommons and common reduce one to two rarity stages makes sense.
The update makes it easier to see that newer pts aren't as rare since many people have adopted them making there be plenty to go around while older pets turn out to be rarer. I'm just "unlucky" in that my fodder is mostly newer pets.
I think the update will good though when everyone's adjusted since it's easier to see which pets are actually very common compared to rare.
