Chapter 1

It was a stormy night, the moss was damp under the cats paws and bellies. Kits could be heard softly mewling under the sound of thunder and the patter of rain. Shadow Star, leader of Claw clan was in her den, until she heard a particular cry of other cats on the west side of camp, towards the riverclan camp. It was being flooded- being that they are right by the river.

She darted from her den swiftly and yowled atop the claw shaped rock for an announcement. "Make haste! Arise my fellow cats, we must evacuate to a higher area and take this chance to show what a good clan we can be- help riverclan with kits and elders and queens in that order!"

Thunder crashed after she finished her sentence, causing her to flinch.

Shadowstep watched the rain falling from the entrance to Thunderclan camp - he knew he should be inside, resting for the next day's patrol but something didn't feel right. His fur prickled with anxiety as the storm raged on. Been quite some time since we had a storm this bad ... wonder who made Starclan mad this time, he thought to himself with a chuckle.

Spottedpaw tossed and turned in her mossy nest - rain had soaked through the brambles that formed the Windclan apprentice den and she couldn't find a dry spot to save her life. She growled as she fretted over the squishy moss, finally sighing in defeat as she clambered out of the den, stepping into the open to look at the sky. "Real funny," she said softly, staring at where she knew Silverpelt was, hidden by rolling black clouds. Narrowing her eyes against the rain hitting her face she carefully padded out of camp, finding a dry spot beneath a rock outcrop to watch the storm.

Stonefeather's fur was slicked to her body as she worked frantically. She could hear the mewls and cries of her clanmates, all working tirelessly to try and stop the encroaching water. She had her own worries, as much as she wanted to help the others. She knew cats would get hurt, and she had to save as many herbs as she could. "Starclan help us .. " she huffed as she laid as many herbs as she could onto a piece of driftwood, grabbing hold of the end to drag it out of her den and into the center of camp. Around her, camp was alive with activity as warriors and apprentices stuffed moss and wood into weak points in the camp wall, queens ushering their kits out of bed and into the night, elders clambering slowly through the growing water levels.

Sparrowstar was simply sitting inside his den, listening to the rain as it fell. He could barely pick out the commotion coming from Riverclan territory, his eyes narrowing as he tried to determine the threat level. Did they need help? It wouldn't be the first time that clan had had problems with weather ... but should he risk his own warriors for such a venture?

Eclipse woke from a nightmare at the sound of his leader’s yowl. Pricking his ears he managed to pick out his leader’s words over the thunder. Getting up, he shoved some large leaves over the herbs to keep them somewhat dry and limped out of his den. He glanced around at the cats fleeing towards Riverclan and ran after them. (Probably doesn’t count as a run just a speedy wobble with his bad leg lmao)

Stormfall grumbled as the warriors got ready to help Riverclan. She huffed in annoyance, “Warriors go rushing off to save some other clan and leave elders like me in leaky dens that drip water almost every thunderstorm.” She grumbled angrily. The den wasn’t even leaking much, she was just annoyed at being woken up. With a sigh she curled up tighter and put her paws over her ears to drown out the noise as she went back to sleep.

The she cat trotted to help organize the clan. She wanted to also help, but couldn't because she,too wanted to stay safe.
Now what? I'm still new to this whole situation..
