Kimiko stopped and turned to him. She looked at him in disbelief. Her heart felt like it stopped for a moment then began to beat really fast. She then looked down and closed her eyes. "If only we could be together..." she whispered then ran away crying. She headed away from school and towards anywhere. She can't love him anymore....she's too scared of getting hurt emotionally. She's afraid that if she falls in love with him again, he'll just leave. Kimiko finally stopped. She leaned against the brick wall and fell to her knees. She looked down and cried.

Kenji rubbed his face. He let out a defeated sigh. He didn't like the thought of staying away from her. If she didn't want to be with him, she could've just told him. He walked to school silently, not talking to anyone, just keeping to himself. Kenji layed his head against his desk.

Kimiko knew she couldn't go to school. One, it would just cause people to question her wounds and bruises. Two, Ruki will beat her up again. Three, She knows that Kenji hates her now and she can't see him anymore. She got up from the alley and made her way to school. She headed straight to the principal's office and requested a resignation from school. This would take a couple of days, but it was better off this way. She gave the principal a glare in which he won't be able to question her. Then she left. She made her way to the store as she bought some hair dye. Changing schools would be better if she changed her look. Her hair was already short, so it didn't matter.

She came home and went to the restroom. She looked at the box of hair dye and debated whether to do it or not.

The lunch bell ran and Ruki walked over to Kenji's class to pick him up. She smiled and gave him a hug, "Did you know Kimiko is leaving this school? she just filed a resignation. Aren't you happy? she won't bother us anymore." she smiled and kissed his cheek. She grabbed his hand and headed for the lunch room.

Kenji raised his eyebrows at Kimiko, panic and confusion setting in. "Why would I ever be happy about that?" He squeezed his hand out of her's. "I don't want you bagging on her." He said, turning and sprinting towards the office.

Ruki looked furious, she scoffs and walks away.

Kimiko puts the hair dye down and walks to the living room. She lays down and start thinking through things. She didn't want to jump to conclusions and regret things later on. She sighed brushing her hair back. "What am I going to do??" she asked herself, frustrated. She went straight to the kitchen and began to bake a cake.

After speaking to the principal, he told him that he would be likely to coinvince Kimiko that she should stay. Once school ended, Kenji rubes over to her house, knocking on the door quite loudly. He wanted Kimiko to stay, and was willing to do anything to coinvince her.

Kimiko has just finished making cupcakes, she opens the oven and pulls them out while she heard a loud knocking. She accidentally burns her wrist and quickly drops the tray on the counter. She scruffs her short hair and walks over to the door. Then she remembered her burnt wrist and she place her lips on it and sucks it as she opens the door. She looked up and it was Kenji. She quickly dropped her hand and hide it behind her, hiding her burn.

"K-Kenji, what are you doing here?" she asked him surprised. She turned her head away, not wanting to look into his eyes for she might fall in love with him all over again.

Kenji watched her, letting out a sigh. "I heard you're planning on leaving the school." He said, wearing a frown. "Why?" He asked, feeling both tired and frustrated.

"I....don't worry about it..." she said softly and continued to stare at the ground. Then she looked up a him, "You seem tired...you should go home for now." she said looking at him worried.

Kenji shook his head sharply. "No." He didn't want to go home and wake up the next day and Kimiko be gone. "Why were you planning on leaving without saying goodbye?" He questioned, wondering what was wrong with himself.
