Ebony leaps along, humming softly to herself. Today would be the day she finally introduces herself to the clan. She was skirting the edge of their border, wanting to make the moment special, when another black cat catches her eye. Her head cocked, she silently approaches him before meowing, rather loudly. "Hi! That looks like a nice meal you've got there! Although I prefer fish a little more..."

Venom continued to walk through the dense undergrowth. His tail swayed as he walked along.
He was sure he would be able to find a good spot to eat-and maybe some more prey too. As, he walked
along his ears we're pricked listening for any sounds of prey or predator. He glanced around and stopped
every now and then to scent the air. Suddenly a voice spoke-very loudly. He spun around and saw
another black cat. He dropped his prey and tilted his head at her. "Why hello there."
he said coolly. He purred when she mention the word fish. "Ah yes. Fish would make a rather fine
meal. May I ask you if you are one of those...clan cats?" he asked his voice still smooth.

Ebony blinks, staring at the cat in disbelief and slight disgust. Her? A clan cat? Please! "Can fish drown?" She retorts, a small grin making its way onto her face. "Course not! I'd never affiliate with those bunch of crowfood-eaters! Besides, do I look like I'd be one of them?" She adds, raising her eyebrows as if challenging him to say yes. She was already intrigued by this cat, but something about him seemed... Familiar... She shook it off, however, thinking it was just down to having met so many cats on her travels. Yet, something was still bothering her about this cat.

Venom purred in amusement. This definitely wasn't a clan cat. Clan cats never say stuff like that. Let alone
call themselves crowfood-eaters. "Ah no you don't." he said. But something doesn't seem
right... he added silently. Well it wasn't that this didn't feel right exactly. It was that he felt like he
had known this cat from somewhere. He ran through his memories only to find nothing about who this cat was.
He glanced around before resting his gaze on her again. "You look troubled. You alright?" he asked his ears twitching.

Orchidpetal blinked sympathetically at the young fae. “Oh, we have found others from your clan as well. I’m sure they’d love to see a familiar face. Nodding to her apprentice the lilac point explained, “I’m the deputy of Canopyclan, and I can assure you you will be safe here. This is my lovely apprentice, Nettlepaw.”

"Yeah, it's just-" Ebony pauses, debating whether or not she should she should ask. She shrugs to herself before continuing, deciding it would be best to best to ask. Besides, what did she have to lose? "Have I... Met you before? At all? You just seem familiar, is all." She meows rather tentatively, her head cocked as she observes the tom before her. She had met many black cats before, maybe that was it? No, there was more to it than that. She frowns slightly as she searches the depth of her mind, hoping to find something that would help her remember this cat.

Sheepfur nodded thoughtfully "it's a pleasure to meet you." she said warmly, on the inside though she was an angry at the mention of her former clan. "I can't wait to see them again it's been so long." she meowed with a smile "some might say not long enough." She thought to herself her eyes narrowing for a second. She stared at the apprentice "well fed, good health, well at least they aren't slacking." She thought with pleasure.

Lipur darted through the jungle, leaping over vines and obstacles, in hot pursuit of a monkey. It swung up into the trees, and Lipur followed. He followed the monkey up into the trees, until he was close enough to bite its tail. The monkey stumbled, and Lipur made his kill. He knew it would have been easier to creep up on the monkey, but he loved the thrill of the chase.

Spiderleg watched, hidden, as a small she-cat raced towards the clan patrol. She waited until the scrap returned, then pounced on her. "What are you doing here? Who are you?" She demanded, her claws digging in. The she-cat mewled in pain, and Spiderleg rolled her eyes. She sniffed the small cat, and scented other unknown cats on her. "Tell you what. If you take me to your friends, I won't kill you." The she-cat nodded, her eyes squeezed shut. Spiderleg stepped off of her, and the she-cat slowly got to her paws. Spiderleg followed her, ready to pounce on her at a moments' notice. Eventually they stopped, and the she-cat called out. "Foxtail? We-we have a visitor!"

Oceanis gave a quick nod, then darted after Sheepfur, excited to be helping. She traced the other she-cat's scent, pausing at a stick with huge bite marks in it. What did she do? Oceanis hurried along, stopping before she revealed herself. She peered out through the foliage, her eyes widening at the scratches on Sheepfur. Prepared to turn around and run home, she paused at the soft voices. They seem like they're being nice, but... She tilted her head. Oh! She must've scratched herself to seem like she was attacked. Satisfied with the friendliness of the clan cats, Oceanis turned and sprinted her way home. Suddenly she was on the ground, sharp claws digging into her side.

Nettlepaw stepped into view more as her name had been said and flicked her tail. She dipped her head slightly in a greeting “It’s nice to meet you,” the apprenticed meowed, hiding her indifference to the odd she-cat. If this she-cat had been attacked, where was her attacker? Where was the scent of an attacker? She just smelled of dirt and blood, no attacker was scentless. Especially a cat, and the scratch wounds were definitely those of a cat. She flicked her tail once more, her eyes bright with a pleasant look to them as she watched the stranger interact with her mentor.

Silentfoot gave Orchidpetal a nod before he darted away silently, dodging between branches and sticks. He stopped only when he reached Rosedust and Dreampaw. He skidded to a stop in front of them “An injured cat is being sent this way, Orchidpetal sent me to tell you.” he told them, glancing back in the direction he came before looking back at the medicine cat and her apprentice “Said she’s from Islandclan,” he explained.

Venom frowned at the molly. Met her before? He didn't think so. And yet he did believe that he had met this cat
before. He tilted his head to study her for a moment trying to see if he could remember anything about her. What was it
about this cat that he knew? It was something like...like...he didn't know. Suddenly a distant memory came to him. It was
blured by other thoughts but he could make out small black shapes. But just as fast as the memory appeared it disappeared.
He shook his head and turned back to the molly. "It does feel like I know you. I just can't remember how..."
he said his tail twitching. "Do you by any chance know?"
