Nettlepaw’s tail twitched with excitement as she dashed after her mentor, since she was still learning how to be a warrior she wasn’t exactly the most graceful cat yet. Here and there she snapped twigs that pulled at her fur or laid beneath her paws. She cringed a little every time she made noise, knowing that wasn’t what she was supposed to do technically. She watched her mentor carefully, copying her movements as well as watching their surroundings and taking in the beauty.

Silentfoot shook his head There are so rogues around here. he thought but didn’t say a word before following behind the young apprentice. He dogdged branches that stretched around him and silently leapt over twigs under him, twitching his ears as he listened and watched for anything around them.

“Perfect! I’ll leave it to you!” She purred to Sheepfur. Turning to Oceanis, she shook her head slightly. “I apologize, but I’ve just eaten. Please enjoy it yourself.” She grinned at her, her amber eyes shining with excitement. Foxtail wasn’t ignorant, but careful. She knew if she was cruel to Oceanis while she had only been in the group for a bit, Oceanis would run away. She had to be as kind as possible, and subtly manipulate her until she was free to do as she liked.

As she reached closer and closer to the border, Orchidpetal began to scent peculiar smells. Almost as if Silentfoot and the rumors had been right. She shook her head. Walking a bit further ahead, she spotted a pile of bones covered in the same scent. She mewed softly, “Silentfoot, what do you make of this?”

Nettlepaw stepped forward after Silentfoot had smelled the bones and stuck her nose close to take in the scent. Her mouth opened a little to gather the information on the odd scent, listening to the older cats behind her talk about them. She wrinkled her nose, not liking what she smelled.

Silentfoot sniffed the bones and flattened his ears slightly and looked over at Orchidpetal “Rogues?” he suggested before looking around, his eyes dark as he looked around them, scanning the area for anything moving or anything watching them. "Perfect I will get going right away!" She purred giving Foxtail a friendly nudge "nice catch." She added to Oceanis who had caught a decent looking lizard. Once she was away from her fellow rogues she remembered she smelt like them. "Hmm an injured cat would surely make this more interesting." she unsheathed her claws picking up a stick to hold in her mouth so she wouldn't make a sound. Cutting her legs chest and back she squinted her eyes in pain, she finished sheathing in her claws but not after licking them clean. Walking forward it was easy to scent the clan's disgusting smell, with a grunt she spat out the stick with had massive fang marks in it which made it look like a wild animal had gotten to it. "Well they're not to far off." She thought, now she could hear them talking about a pile of bones made by rogues she scoffed before crouching preparing to jump over the bush so it looked like she was trying to escape something. Leaping she looked behind her with wide eyes her breathes in rapid puffs, with her fur sticking out she darted forward pretending nog to see the other cats as she stared behind her. She faked tripping beside them letting out a yelp, she turned to look at the clan cats fear in her eyes "please don't hurt me!" She whispered in the softest voice she could manage.

Lipur darted through the jungle, leaping over vines and obstacles, in hot pursuit of a monkey. It swung up into the trees, and Lipur followed. He followed the monkey up into the trees, until he was close enough to bite its tail. The monkey stumbled, and Lipur made his kill. He knew it would have been easier to creep up on the monkey, but he loved the thrill of the chase.

Spiderleg stalked through the jungle, scenting the air for prey. She pounced on a lizard, killing it swiftly. Her stomach rumbled, and she looked around, then dug into the plump prey. Eating quickly, she buried the remains and continued hunting, feeling no remorse for eating fresh prey. Spiderleg suddenly scented a clan patrol, and went to greet them, but stopped short as a stranger's scent reached her. Peering through the leaves, she saw an injured she-cat mewling to the patrol. Spiderleg rolled her eyes, then had a bright idea. She'd track the cat's scent, and find out where the poor lump came from. She set to work tracing the stranger's path, and when she came across a stick that looked like something huge bit into it, she tilted her head, confused.

Oceanis nodded, licking her lips gratefully. "Thank you." She picked up the lizard and backed away a few paces, before settling down to dig in. Her stomach rumbled, and she ate quickly to quiet it. Once she finished, she looked around, then walked up to Foxtail. "Is there anything you'd like done?" Oceanis didn't want to sit around doing nothing, she wanted to be useful.

Orchidpetal jumped in surprise at seeing the injured she-cat. “Oh you poor dear!” She turned to Silentfoot and Nettlepaw. “Silentfoot, please run ahead and tell Rosedust and Dreampaw that we have an injured cat heading their way!” She turned back to the poor molly and mewed. “We won’t hurt you. Here, come with us and we’ll try and heal you up. My name’s Orchidpetal, what’s yours?”

She thought for a minute. “If you could, would you be a dear and follow Sheepfur? You don’t have to reveal yourself, just check to make sure that the clan cats don’t attack her. If they do, run back as fast as you can. That’s more than enough to signal war between us.” She felt pity at hearing the molly’s rumbling belly. “And feel free to catch yourself a bit of prey along the way. We can’t have you starved to death.” She purred, trying to comfort the new rogue. After all, she needed her on her side.

Without skipping a beat the toyger tom mewed, “What colors and general size?” He mentally flopped through the possible breeds in this particular area. As a kit and apprentice, one of the first things learnt was the danger of certain snakes. Many a careless cat had fallen prey to a servant, and he had to be careful, especially with inexperienced cats on hand. He followed her gaze. “If it has red touching yellow, follow me carefully.”

Sheepfur gave the She-cat a grateful smile “one more step closer.” She thought. She got up with a stumble, she had to admit her scratches did hurt quite a bit she looked at the She-cat when she was asked a question “I’m Sheeppaw.” She meowed softly wincing at the memories that came with her old name “I was from a clan you probably haven’t heard of, it’s called islandclan except I got lost I’ve been living in the forest for moons.” She meowed sadly “well part of it is true.” Her brain talked back to her.

Nettlepaw watched as Silentfoot raced away to tell the clan’s medicine cat. She looked back at her mentor and silently watched them interact. She wasn’t sure why, but she felt odd about this cat, and she certainly didn’t show that emotion. The older cats didn’t seem to feel odd about her, so maybe she was just being strange.

Silentfoot gave Orchidpetal a nod before he darted away silently, dodging between branches and sticks. He stopped only when he reached Rosedust and Dreampaw. He skidded to a stop in front of them “An injured cat is being sent this way, Orchidpetal sent me to tell you.” he told them, glancing back in the direction he came before looking back at the medicine cat and her apprentice “Said she’s from Islandclan,” he explained.

Pebbleheart rolled over lazily onto her brother. She felt a sudden lurch as he threw her off his back. She hissed slightly as she regained her balance, "And a good morning to you too, Finchstorm." Her brother shook some twigs out of his fur, "Hey, you rolled over on me." She rolled her eyes and yawned, another day was upon them. "I'm going out," Finchstorm said to her as he neared the entrance to their hollowed out home. Before she could reply, he had already jump out and started descending to the ground.

Finchstorm snored softly as the morning brightened. He felt a sudden the sudden twinge of claw when his sister rolled over onto him. He pushed up with his legs and threw her off like an angry horse. He heard the faint sound of her hiss, "And a good morning to you too." Finchstorm shook some twigs from his fur, "Hey, you rolled over on me." He turned away, but caught a glimpse of her rolling her eyes. He strode closer to the entrace of their home, "I'm going out." Before she could object, like a whisper, he was gone. He carefully descended down to the waterfall and sat on the bank of it, watching the fish gracefully swim around.
