How beautiful the Gate of Souls had seemed when she opened it. Such promise, such power, all within her grasp! But something had gone wrong. Where was she now? She was certain this was Hyrule, but which Hyrule? The rising smoke over the horizon and dense forest certainly seemed familiar, something she had glimpsed occasionally in distant visions of time. It wasn't until she saw the shell of a long-broken Guardian that it finally clicked into place. The future of the Calamity--the Gate of Souls had taken her very far indeed. She heard voices down the path and reflexively threw her hand out and summoned her scepter, creeping closer unti she saw them. Some Rito of little important and Link--but not her Link. She frowned, he also wasn't the Link that should be here as far as she could tell. Well, that was worth investigating. She removed her mask--some small attempt to make herself less conspicuous--and approached. "Excuse me," she called as she approached, a false sweetness in her voice that she resented sounding so similar to her other half, "I seem to have gotten myself lost. Do you happen to know where we are?"

"i don't think he's in there anymore. he's the only other person that knows about the exit in the mines." zelda lifted herself up onto the land, the soil setting deeply into the grooves of her boots. "there are horse prints stamped in the soil over there," she mumbled, her ocean blue eyes examining the terrain and enemies that rested ahead. "i've got a plan!" the princess excitedly turned back around to face sidon. apparently running from death is something to be really excited about. "we need to follow the prints, so you stay ahead of me and guide my steps as i watch your back for you. keep your eyes open for any clues as to where mipha or link may be," she continued, "but.. if something happens to me, run. save yourself."

"all three of our wishes will be taken into account before we end the journey, it's only fair." mipha scanned the area, trying to find any path that led away into a village, "midna, what should we be looking for in order to help you?" her eyes meeting with her helmet. to mipha, its appearance was strange, nothing she had ever seen before. it did make sense to the zora though, considering the different realm and such.

Lumene looked between the two as they spoke, smiling slightly as she listened. She wasn't really searching for anything like the other two.. just tagging along to help two, hopefully, new friends. "I'd gladly help you both find whom you're looking for. I've never been on a huge adventure before. This could be pretty fun." She said, honestly a little bit excited.

"Even I am not sure what to look for, but I will know when I get close. I have my ways." Midna suspected that she'd find some way to communicate with him. At the Rito's comment she rolled her eyes. "If you think fending off monsters and spending months, even years, scouring Hyrule is fun, I applaud you." Midna thought for a moment. "Although if you are wiling to put up with that, it would be wise to have us let you to handle commerce. Who knows how physics work for her.." she points to Mipha. "And I already know my impression on people."

"Stay back! I have... Uh... A stick!" It was a bad idea not arming himself prior to heading out. This bokoblin was about to stab his face off! "Nonononono!" He desperately hoped for someone to come and save him. If only he had brought a blade!

He complained a bit when Lurian cupped his face in and squished it a bit. He didn't do anything else other than that though. After a while, he slithered away from the Lynel's grasp, and holding Linkle's Cucco in his arms, he clambered on top of the Lynel, enjoying the view from on top of its head, and enjoying it's soft mane.

He grumbled a bit, before saying "I'm not fit to be a hero. I'm just a being of darkness whose bored, and wants to do some mischief. I can turn around and kill you right now if I wanted." Despite secretly being happy as he was called a hero, he felt like that he had no right to claim a title like that, especially since he was made by Ganon to destroy Link. Not to mention, he was "evil", as much he hated that word. No evil being can ever be called a "hero", at least none he knew of.

It was a lovely time to go outside, unless you looked up, which by then you'll notice one large figure falling out from the sky.... make that four tiny ones. The four swords landed on top of each other with a loud "whump", and one of them let out a loud yelp. Probably the one on the bottom... which just happens to be Blue. "Get off me, you idiots." he yelled at the others. "I can't unless Vio gets off!" Red shouted back. " It's not my fault you guys fell before us." Vio said as Green (which I'll refer to as Link) wordlessly hopped off, and they followed suit. "Now, which crappy land did we fall into this time? Actually, why even did a giant freaking hole open under us in the first place?!?!" he complained. "Perhaps the universe wanted to get rid of you." Vio snickered. Red just shot him a glare. Link stepped in before an argument could happen, and suggested that they should go look around. They all agreed, and set off in a neat line, with Link in front.

Lumene blinked as she listened to the twili, "Yeah, I don't mind monsters, I've had some archery training. I'm not the best, but archery is pretty big with us Rito." She smiles. She listened to the last bit and couldn't help but chuckle. "Oh? Alright, I don't mind talking."

Emry jolted at the voice and looked around her, frowning to see no one nearby. The voice sounded so close... where? She frowns and clears her throat before replying. "Who's there?" She glances around more, her heart rate sped up. The thought of telepathically speaking hadn't once crossed her mind, given it was entirely new to her.

A shadowy sheikah figure stood atop the ridge overlooking the docks of Hyrule Castle, watching as the flames burned and citizens are overtaken. She hums in thought, knowing very well the one being whom would have the remote desire to take over Hyrule Castle. Ganon. She walks along the ridge, eying the water. She very well could offer her services to the evil king, it was better than being without a role and bored all the time. She looked at the dock before stepping back a handful of steps. She wasted no time in dashing off the ledge and diving into the middle of the moat. She resurfaced and swam over, pulling herself onto the dock and gazing up at the large Hyrule Castle.

Prince Sidon

Moving forward, Sidon cast his gaze about cautiously. No monsters or Gerudo guards to speak of. It looked safe enough, prompting the Zora to lead the way. After only a short distance, though, there was a snag to the plan.

For a brief moment, Sidon met Ganon’s gaze, rooted in alarm before who it was clicked in his mind. He bared his rows of teeth, pupils narrowing to slits, and moved to better protect Zelda. Call it subconsciously defending or actively disobeying — he would not leave her to face him alone after she had already done so for a century.

A whiz of light shot by, finding its mark upon Ganon, and a voice called out nearby. Taking the briefest of glances to his side, the prince spied the little fairy that had followed one of the alternate Links. Instructed to escape while they could, growling with frustration at being so close to their goal yet coming up short, he merely shook his head and turned to the princess.

”Come on. You can ride — I can’t.” He gathered Epona’s reigns and offered them to Zelda. Not only was his size an issue for riding, but he generally had no clue how to interact with the hooved beasts. ”If you can get far enough out of range, I can meet you downriver.” Link would hopefully buy them enough time, but if not, he had no intention of abandoning his friend.

Opening his beak to reply, Kass caught an unfamiliar voice and turned to find the source. Now he definitely hadn’t seen this person before. Still, he smiled amiably and gestured at the surrounding forest,

”One of the roads leading to the castle — Hyrule Castle. I was heading there myself and made the acquaintance of this fellow here.” He nodded to Cosmic Link.

”I don’t suppose you’re from around here, then? Allow me to introduce myself. I am Kass.”
