[❊] ❝GORSESTAR❞ --------{ he/him | sunclan leader | 43 moons }-----{ Location: sunclan camp }
--------{ tagged: n/a }---{ mentioned: rowanstep }
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬xxxxxxxxGorestar lay at the edge of his den, a cave carved out of the rocky cliffs that made SunClan's home. It was a fair distance from the ground, making his own clanmates seem small as they woke up and emerged from their dens. He looked out beyond the towering stones to the moors, now covered in a thin blanket of mist thanks to leaf-fall's cooling temperatures. The sky was clear, though, hardly a sign of precipitation from the small wisps of clouds that dotted the sky. A few rays of sunlight had begun to creep their way over the cliff-sides, lighting up the spotted cat's coat golden. He stretched in his nest, a circle of moss and bracken not too much wider than himself, and heaved his weight onto his paws. He stood tall with his long legs, not unlike other SunClan cats, and the tips of his ears brushed the cave ceiling. Taking one last longing look at the bedding, the tom briskly washed himself and began to make his way out of the small cavern. The sun making its way higher into the sky, he knew his deputy would begin setting up dawn patrols soon, and he liked to be present during them. Gorsestar took kindly to taking part in warrior activities, never missing a chance to portray to his clanmates that he was just as ready to take part in tasks as any other cat, leader or not.
xxxxxxxxPicking his way down the cliff-side, Gorsestar leaped from ledge to ledge with ease. Spending his entire life with his clan had grown him used to the narrow pathways up and down the rock-face, and his banded tail swayed as the path combined with that of the warriors' den. From inside he could hear gentle snores and the shuffling of paws, but didn't hesitate to jump to the next ledge, making his way down to the ground rather quickly from that point on. A quiet thump could be heard as the tom landed on the sandy ground, straightening as he headed towards the center of camp.
[⊚] ❝SANDPAW❞ --------{ she/her | sunclan apprentice | 9 moons }-----{ Location: sunclan camp }
--------{ tagged: n/a }---{ mentioned: fennelpaw, honeywhisker }
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬xxxxxxxxStrong rays of sunlight filtered through the space where Sandpaw lay, causing her to roll over in disgust as she struggled to shield her eyes from the intruding light. She almost broke into a growl when her struggles ended up in vain. Blinking open her light-brown eyes, the sand-colored apprentice sat up on her paws and let out a yawn. The she-cat absolutely hated mornings, much to her own dismay, and always struggled to wake up fully while the sun was still hugging the horizon. She almost considered laying back down and sleeping for a few more moments before remembering that she had training to do. Which to her, well, was just about the most important thing. It wasn't exactly that she liked to wake up early just to run around the territory being told what to do, but she knew that it would make her a great warrior eventually, and that she knew was worth it. She has always striven to be the best at whatever was thrown at her, a subtle way to make her parents proud although her mother was no longer around. That of which, she silently took blame for. But that was enough of that for now.
xxxxxxxxGiving her fur a few licks to keep it flat, Sandpaw glanced around the den she was in. It wasn't small, but it wasn't quite as big as the warriors den either, and was rather close to the ground thanks to her rank of apprentice. Not to far away, she could spot the splotched pelt of another apprentice, Fennelpaw. She considered for a heartbeat to try to start a conversation, before remembering she hardly knew how, and settled for waiting for her mentor to drag her out into her daily training.
[♤] ❝AMBERTHROAT❞ --------{ she/her | rainclan warrior | 30 moons }-----{ Location: rainclan camp }
--------{ tagged: n/a }---{ mentioned: hollypaw }
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬xxxxxxxxAmberthroat shifted her paws in her light sleep, thankful for the intertwining reeds overhead keeping her mottled pelt dry. She could hear the quiet pattering of rain just outside it, and almost frowned at the thought of her pelt getting soaked through through the moment she enters a clearing. It wasn't that she minded getting wet, being a RainClan cat herself, but rivers and marshes were different from water falling from the sky. At-least a cat could escape the former if they wanted to. But, at-least here the towering trees kept most of the water away, and she let out a yawn as she began to wake herself up more. The she-cat rolled onto her paws, though not yet standing, and began washing her coat that had been messed up by sleep. She briefly looked around the den, regretting once more that she had taken a spot closer to the back of the space. Here it was harder to walk around cats without stepping on un-watched tails and starting a commotion. She should probably be making her way through them soon, though, to take her apprentice out for training. Perhaps she could find another mentor to pair up with her and Hollypaw for some battle practice.
[➶] ❝TIDEPAW❞ --------{ she/her | rainclan apprentice | 10 moons }-----{ Location: rainclan camp }
--------{ tagged: n/a }---{ mentioned: hollypaw, dawnpaw, sunshadow }
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬xxxxxxxxTidepaw woke to the sound of rain, listening to the steady drops that hit the roof of the apprentice den. An morning cat, she was quick to get to her paws and glance outside the reeds. It was an easy task, having chosen her nest to be close to the exit for her own reasons. A stray raindrop bounced off of her nose and she sneezed, looking up at the patches of clouds she could see through the willow branches that sheltered RainClan's camp. It seemed to be only sun-showers, to her slight dismay, as she loved going out in the territory while it was raining. It gave her a sort of calm, for a reason she didn't know why. Beyond the camp's walls of reeds she could see fog clinging to the dense foliage that crowded the clan's territory. That she wasn't excited for. Though some of her clanmates may lean towards the stealthier side of the group, and therefor love the ability to be hidden, she could always feel the slight prickle of anxiety when she herself didn't know what was in-front of her. She was perfectly fine sticking to swimming and water-based strategies.
xxxxxxxxDucking her head back inside the den, she glanced back at her fellow apprentices, Hollypaw and Dawnpaw. Their mentors would probably come for them soon, and that meant hers would too. She settled for sitting in her nest and gazing out into the light rain until then.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬Foxpaw wakes up slowly, a small grunt of annoyance escaping her maw at the sight of the dens faint light. Slowly, she gets up and dodges her way around the den trying her best not to trip over the various herbs. She definitely wasn't the most graceful of cats. Foxpaw could faintly hear the water dropping on the den, and the humidity certainly did feel more intense than usual "Rain." She sighs to herself before dodging outside of the den and into the fresh air of the camp. Foxpaw, unlike other cats, didn't mind the rain much, usually, when it was raining she could be found in a much better mood than her normal grump. Quickly, quietly she finds a semi dry place to sit and watch the other apprentices as they waited for their mentors.

Sunshadow
--------{He/him | Warrrior| 32 moons |Rainclan }-----{ Location: RainClan Camp }---{ Tagged:Amberthroat }--{ Mentioned:Tidepaw, Hollypaw }--------
The sound of rain was what slowly woke Sunshadow up. He lifted his head and flicked an ear as he saw the droplets of rain falling just outside of the warrior den. As a Rainclan cat, water didn't bother him, but it did bother the prey they hunted. He was planning on taking his apprentice, Tidepaw, hunting today, but the rain sort of changed that. With a small grunt, he stretched out his paws, sat up in his nest and looked over to see if the other mentors were awake yet. He saw one of the other mentors, a tortoiseshell like him, was already stirring. "Psst. Hey Maplewhisker, Amberthroat. What are you two doing with your apprentices today? I was going to take Tidepaw hunting, but I'm not sure we'll find much in the rain." he asked quietly. With any luck, one of them would let him and Tidepaw tag along. Snow
--------{He/him | Rogue | 29 moons | }-----{ Location: RainClan Camp }---{ Tagged:Open }--{ Mentioned: }--------
Snow was already awake by the time the sun started to rise. As a rogue, days started early. He needed to be on his feet and moving before anything dangerous could find him. It was foggy this morning as the white cat emerged from one of his dens. This one was one of the ones closer to the RainClan territory, but he has a few dens around the area. He had made this den in the roots of one of the trees. He felt a few drops of rain as he started to groom himself, which he had to admit, he wasn't a fan of. He wasn't born a rogue or a clan cat, and the one thing he hated about no longer being a kittypet was not having a safe place to escape from the weather. Snow was a tough cat though. Instead of retreating back into the den, he turned around and climbed the tree up to a branch that would allow him to see his surroundings. He scanned the area with his mutli-colored eyes, looking to see if any of the clan cats were out yet. All of the good prey was in the territories, and if he felt he could get away with it, he sneak on and catch something to eat.

Coalheart▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔┅┅┅( he/him . sunclan medicine cat . seventy moons
xxxxxxxxtagged: open . location: sunclan camp }┅┅┅Coalheart was as he always was, every morning without fail. Dawn cracked along the horizon, sending streaks of sunlight across the moorland, filtering through the clumps of trees to rest on the sleepy camp below. He sat placidly atop the cliff above the dens, letting the morning's warmth knead and manipulate his sleek fur. An odd routine for some, perhaps, rising with Silverpelt to watch the transpiring of a new day, but a comfort for one. When the last bright specks of Slilverpelt finally faded from sight, Coalheart split his mouth open in a yawn, raising to his paws and arching his back in a delicious stretch. The last claws of fatigue drained from his limbs, and the tom felt ever so enthusiastic toward the day ahead. His priorities at the moment started with gathering what remained of the herbs in their territory, and ended with making sure Peachblossom received battle training of some form. He had been perhaps slightly lackadaisical toward his apprentice, neglecting training with tooth and claw in preference of making sure she was prepared for the leaf-bare ahead. But herbs could not win every battle, he understood, so keeping her more physical abilities up to scratch deserved more of his time. Now set on how his day would pan out, Coalheart turned his peaceful gaze down the steep path into camp, his paws following. With careful movements, the tom seemed to float down the cliff-face, kicking up only dust as he reached the camp floor. His tail curled in delight to see cats slowly emerging into the sun, and beating them all outside was a tall cat Coalheart inclined his ears toward. "Good morning, Gorsestar. We have the makings of a fine day today." A smile had crept onto his maw, and he twitched his tail as he carried himself past his leader, and toward the edge of the camp. Food was not always his forethought, but this morning he was hungry, so leftovers from last night would suit him just fine. Fair pickings were on offer, and he thoughtfully selected a moorhen, figuring if it filled his belly, it could also fill his apprentice's. The bird fit tightly against his teeth as he grasped it's neck, blinking solemnly, before he set off on the vertical journey back up to his den.
Maplewhisker▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔┅┅┅( she/her . rainclan warrior . twenty-six moons
xxxxxxxxtagged: dawnpaw . location: rainclan camp }┅┅┅Mornings did not alway favour Maplewhisker, and this one was no exception. While her pelt was kept dry overnight by the thick reeds above, nothing could prevent the sticky air from clinging to her fur once she emerged from the den, and that thought was enough to keep her curled in her nest. It was mere moments are blinking her eyes shut again that the sound of pawsteps from outside made her ears twitch, and prickle of annoyance was quick to slither up her spine. "Apparently a bit of sleep is too much to ask for around here." The words rumbled low in her chest as she finally drew herself up to her haunches, cracking her mouth open in a yawn. When she blinked her eyes open again, they adjusted to the dim lighting of the den, and grazed over one of the other alert cats, Amberthroat. She twitched her ears and blinked in a friendly way, before dipping her head to rasp her tongue over her messy coat, taking the time to make it presentable. While she would've liked to remain there, perhaps sharing a conversation and tongues with her friend, a promise to her apprentice was going to draw her away, so once deemed well-groomed, Maplewhisker stood, but had to pause when another voice raised above the snoring. Maplewhisker glanced at Sunshadow, tossing the open invitation over her shoulder before slipping from the den, "I'll be out battle training with Dawnpaw. Another apprentice or two would be good practice for him.". Weak morning light greeted her, paired with a thick covering of fog that seemed to clog her senses. Morning battle training wasn't seeming so glamorous now. Not when she knew seeing five tail-lengths in front of her nose was going to be a problem. But learning to fight familiar moves in unfamiliar scenarios would be good for Dawnpaw, so she could begrudgingly see the positive side to it. Maplewhisker flicked her tail in mild annoyance, before walking quietly across the clearing, aiming for the apprentice den. She could see a pair of eyes gleaming from within, so she nosed her head inside, uncaring if she was waking them up. "Dawnpaw, up and at 'em, we've got battle training to do."

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬xxxxxxxxAmberthroat's attention turned to two of the other warriors she shared the space with as they rose. She instantly recognized Sunshadow's tortoiseshell coat alongside Maplethroat's ginger one, to the latter she gave a brisk but friendly nod. One of hear ears twitched and her dark-green gaze shifted as she listened to Sunshadow's proposition and Maplewisker's invitation. As the she-cat left, Amberthroat turned to the tom. "I guess that settles it unless you have any other ideas. It's better to battle train in groups, and besides, the fog could do well for some practice with different surroundings," she meowed to him. Flicking her tail, she too padded through the exit to the warriors den, taking the chance to breath in the fresh, albeit damp, air as she began her way towards the apprentice den on the other side of camp. She was secretly happy that a dense fog had settled through the territory. Stealth and ambush were her prime, earning her more than a couple scars, and she only hoped she could pass on those skills to her apprentice. Speaking of the young cat, she made her way next to Maplewhisker and stuck her head inside the den. "You as well, Hollypaw," she called to the dark-furred cat. "We'll be training with Dawnpaw and Tidepaw today."

[❈] ❝F o x p a w❞ --------{ She/her | Apprentice| 8 moons |Rainclan }-----{ Location: Medicine cat den }---{ Tagged:Badgerfoot }--{ Mentioned: Apprentices }---
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Foxpaw continues to watch the warrior apprentices with their mentors and lets out a small sigh. She had noticed the warrior apprentices seemed to play around a bunch with their mentors. Foxpaw tilts her head slightly watching more intently now. She was slightly jealous at the playful relationship the others had with their mentors, while, she had Badgerfoot who was all business all the time. She couldn't deny that through their tough love mentor-ship she couldn't help but respect her mentor deeply. After all, he had been to her like the parent she never had, even if he didn't realize it.
Suddenly, Foxpaw hears Badgerfoot begin to stir grumbling to himself per usual. "I'm in for it now." She groans as she hears Badgerfoot's impatient meow. Foxpaw pokes her head in the den with a small smile played out on her face, "look who's finally awake," she practically purrs, if there was anything Foxpaw loved as much as her duties is was annoying her mentor, "it's raining out, I know its your favorite," She notes slinking her way into the den clearing and sitting across from her mentor, just out of swiping distance. "You're gonna need help getting those mats out of your fur, but I happen to think its a great day for gathering herbs." Foxpaw flashes a toothy, what could be considered as, a grin toward Badgerfoot. While he may not enjoy the rain it was common knowledge how much she loved it. Her love for the rain set her apart from most, if not all, of her clan mates. It also happened to make her more enthusiastic against her usual sarcastic and snarky manor.

Peachblossom | Medicine Cat Apprentice
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
[ 23 moons ] [ female ] [ sunclan ] [ mentions: Goosetail ] [ tagged: Coalheart ]
Peachblossom opened her eyes slowly, jaw stretching wide in a big yawn as her forepaws stretched out languidly before her. The young Medicine Cat Apprentice was always a bit slow to wake in the mornings, especially when she was visiting Starclan. The young she-cat had a habit of slipping unintentionally into the Hunting Grounds of their Ancestors when she was asleep, and would often end up frolicking the night away with her deceased family. In all honesty, it was likely the only thing keeping her sane after losing her parents and four of her five brothers in such a short amount of time. Goosetail, her only remaining relative, was taking the deaths much harder and she wished desperately that she could share this with him. He was a warrior, though, with no special connection to their Warrior Ancestors. Rising to her paws, Peachblossom yawned again before lazily starting to groom her pelt. The biggest (and perhaps only) downside to her frequent Starclan visits was that they left her ill-rested when she awoke from them and she had to shake herself awake several times before finally padding out of the den. Peachblossom spotted her mentor almost instantly, about to tuck into a bird of some sort, and immediately she moved to join him with a purr of greeting. With most of her family dead, Coalheart had become something of a surrogate father figure to her. It was he who had encouraged her curiosity as a kit when she simply couldn't stay away from the Medicine Cat Den, and he had continued to encourage her even while supporting her original plan of becoming a warrior. In the end, the path of a Medicine Cat just called to her and he accepted her as his apprentice without hesitation. She hadn't had reason to regret her decision yet. "Good morning, Coalheart. I trust you slept well?" She asked with a warm smile as she hooked a mouse from the pile and crouched to eat. She wasn't a fan of birds. Too many feathers/
Goosetail | Warrior
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
[ 23 moons ] [ male ] [ sunclan ] [ mentions: Coalheart, Gorsestar, Rowanstep, Peachblossom ] [ tagged: Open ]
Goosetail woke with a gasp, sitting bolt upright in his nest. Eyes wide, sides heaving with labored breath, the young tomcat struggled to calm himself after yet another of his nightmares. The nightmares had begun moons ago when Sparrowgaze had passed away. While Goosetail loved all his brothers, he had shared a special bond with Sparrowgaze and had mourned his loss greatly. He still missed the goofy, energetic tomcat. His sister, Peachblossom, was his only remaining relative and as a Medicine Cat, she helped where she could. Often she brought him a mouse and a couple poppyseeds before bed, knowing him well enough to know he likely hadn't eaten enough, and to know that he needed all the help sleeping that he could get. He appreciated his sister immensely. Rising, the tomcat made his way slowly out of the den. He spotted Peachblossom immediately, but she was talking to Coalheart and so he decided not to bother them. He was an okay hunter, though. He would simply catch his own prey. With a flick of his tail, the scrawny tomcat headed for the camp entrance, hoping to escape before Rowanstep or Gorsestar stuck him in a hunting patrol. Goosetail wasn't very social and much preferred hunting alone.
Hollypaw | Apprentice
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
[ 10 moons ] [ female ] [ rainclan ] [ mentions: Dawnpaw ] [ tagged: Tidepaw, Amberthroat ]
Hollypaw awoke with a start, flinching violently as a freezing droplet of water landed on her nose and made her sneeze. The apprentice let out a frustrated, disappointed that her dream was forced to end right as she was about to bite into the plump, juicy mouse she had caught. Sitting up, the young she-cat blinked around the gloom of the den. It was sometime just after dawn if she had to guess and it was fairly quiet save for the gentle breaths coming from Dawnpaw's nest. The great oaf was still asleep. Tidepaw was awake, her blue eyes focused on the den entrance as she watched the rain fall. Pushing herself to her feet, Hollypaw joined her friend by the den entrance with a soft grumble. "It would be raining today of all days," she bemoaned with a flick of her bushy tail. Scanning the clearing beyond the thick reeds, she was surprised that her mentor, Amberthroat, wasn't already up. The warrior was a bit of a slave-driver and usually liked to be up with the first rays of sunlight. Twitching an ear, Hollypaw considered the pros and cons of sneaking out of camp. Pros: she would get a day to herself and would annoy the mouse-dung out of Amberthroat. Cons: she would likely be stuck on tick duty for the elders for a whole moon. She decided it was worth it though and shot her friend a sly look. "Hey, Tidepaw...? Do me a favor; if Amberthroat asks where I am, say you don't know, okay?" She said with an impish grin. Before the other apprentice could agree, disagree, or ask why, Hollypaw slipped out of the den... only to run smack into her mentor who had slipped up while she apprentice was distracted. Squeaking, Hollypaw fell back on her rump and then gave her mentor a too wide, awkward grin. "Amberthroat! What a... pleasant surprise. I was just coming to find you. Training with Tidepaw and Dawnpaw sounds so fun! Come on you two, best not to keep out mentors waiting!" She chuckled nervously, her smile too wide and her voice too high to be entirely believable.
Ravenwing | Warrior
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
[ 37 moons ] [ male ] [ rainclan ] [ mentions: Hollypaw ] [ tagged: Snow ]
Ravenwing flattened his ears and glared across the clearing from where he was crouched in the shelter of an overhang, watching his daughter interact with her mentor and the other apprentices. He had never wanted kits; Hollypaw had been a fluke, a mistake. One that never should have lived and he resented the clan leader for forcing her upon him when he would have left her to die in the forest alongside her dead mother and siblings. She had jilted death and he was none too pleased with it. Rising, the tom turned away and stalked out of camp. It didn't matter that his pelt was immediately dampened by the light rain; he was a Rainclan cat. He was used to the water. Walking away from camp, he got about ten fox-lengths from the entrance when a scent that was familiar and unfamiliar at the same time alerted him to the fact that he was not alone. The tomcat froze, a warning growl rising in his throat. "Whoever is out there, show yourselves!"
Stormbriar | Warrior
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
[ 26 moons ] [ female ] [ sunclan ] [ mentions: n/a ] [ tagged: Open ]
Stormbriar had woken up well before the first rays of sunlight painted the horizon, and had been a busy bee ever since. The energetic young cat was always on the move, whether it was hunting or patrolling or fixing something in the camp... she was the kind of cat who hated being idle. Padding into camp now, the silvery gray she-cat deposited three mice onto the fresh-kill pile, a gleam of satisfaction in her green and yellow eyes. The pile was full to bursting after she had made several trips to refill it. There was a reason cats claimed her to be one of the best hunters in the clan. Stormbriar wasn't the best at fighting, but she had always excelled at hunting, even going so far as to catch a squirrel on her very first day out of camp. They hadn't even been hunting; rather she was being shown the territory and happened to spot the squirrel. Her mentor, Lynxstep, had allowed her to try to catch it and to every cat's surprise, she had. She had shown incredible speed and climbing prowess when the squirrel tried to escape up a tree, but in the end she had caught it and the clan had been so impressed. It was still one of her proudest moments and she purred happily before selecting a shrew and settling down to eat.

Coalheart▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔┅┅┅( he/him . sunclan medicine cat . seventy moons
xxxxxxxxtagged: peachblossom . location: sunclan camp }┅┅┅It was instinctual, a rumbling purr building in his throat as Coalheart rested his gaze on Peachblossom. Having her around almost felt like he was cheating his Medicine Cat path; for though he wasn't permitted to take a mate and born kits, his apprentice was as much his daughter as anything. "As well as possible," The tom paused, a glossy sheen sliding over his eyes, almost as if he were seeing stars. He'd walked with StarClan last night, as he did fairly often, but those moments were to be kept to himself. "And how did you sleep? You seemed much, much too tired to join me for the sunrise this morning." Coalheart teased, blinking playfully. Peachblossom was never one he expected to join him, though he would never turn away her company. Beneath his paws, his claws has worked to tug out a fair few feathers from the moorhen, and he lowered his head to take a bite, aware his apprentice desired something less feathery, judging by her choice of mouse. "It's going to be a fine day to gather the rest of the herbs from the moor. And we can check on the sprouts of catmint over at the twoleg place, too." Tail twitching, Coalheart took another bite, chewing thoughtfully for a moment. Movement captured his attention, and he found himself unsurprised to study Goosetail attempting to slip out of camp. He knew of the poor cat's sense of grief, but also knew that there was nothing to heal a broken heart. "Depending on how quickly we gather the herbs, I'd like to take you out for some battle training. Your claws must always be as sharp as your mind." Coalheart said, blinking slowly for a second before looking back at his apprentice. "We could probably do well to bring another warrior along. Perhaps Goosetail? It would be good for him to hone his skills, and perhaps he could teach you a thing or two." Almost as if he would quirk an eyebrow, his head was tilted to the side, reflecting on whether Peachblossom would agree or disagree. The medicine cat thought maybe it best that the young tom had something to do, to ease his mind in even the slightest way.
Lake▔▔▔▔▔▔┅┅┅( he/him . loner . twenty moons
xxxxtagged: open . location: basking rocks }┅┅┅Sun, aside from water, was Lake's favourite thing. It was his favourite thing even on cold, clear leaf-bare days, and it was his favourite thing now, as he slid quietly from the river, water hanging from his soaked pelt. The sun was warm, not quite greenleaf hot, but about perfect for heating up the rocks he loved so much. It was like a flashing alarm in his mind, the strong scent markers of the groups of cats who lived here, but he enjoyed the basking rocks so much, he was willing to risk an encounter to get his daily dose of warmth. Lake took a moment to brace his paws against the ground, and vigorously shook himself from side to side, satisfied once his fur has regained some of his fluffiness. Perhaps he was a little bit like a fish, water deflecting from his layered pelt, and large paws that imitated the fins that helped his prey move so quickly, but he was all cat as he leapt easily onto a large, sun-gathering rock. It felt toasty beneath his paws, and a loud purr left the tom, bouncing off of the trees nearby and floating through the still air. Lake dropped to his stomach and stretched out, raking his claws out in front of him as he truly got settled. A few minutes here was all he needed, and then he'd be back in the river and downstream before any cats found him, to return tomorrow, and repeat the same thing.

⤷ The scent of a fresh misty rain was what woke RobinStar from her sleep, gently grasping at her breath, wide-eyed and somewhat panicked. It was very rare that the elegant tortie fell asleep without fearing her own death at the hands of a shadow of the night. Paranoid. She'd heard it said about herself before and reluctantly over the years she had come to terms with the fact that she had an issue. Her way to deal with this constant fear of the unknown was to suppress it- to keep it in the back of her mind and never bring those fears out into the light. So she did, standing up she shook her pelt, peering out through the roots of the willow tree to sus out the activity in the camp. A small huff erupted from her maw as she looked over her clan-mates. Eyes wavering slightly as a tense ball built up in her chest. It wasn't unusual- the fear in the early morning of those watchful eyes. She pushed her mind to stay away from such topics and stepped out into the light shower of rain coming from the sky. The rain was always more preferable to swimming when it came to getting her paws wet so she found a place to sit. Watching as the drizzle poured down on her clan-mates, she curled her tail tightly around herself. [232]
𓅨 FINCHSONG
molly . fourty-five moons . rouge . moonlit cave w/ open
⤷ Drips echoed through the cave as the glossy ceiling of the moonlit cave dropped condensation down into the sacred pools of water. A small sigh echoed from FinchSong as she slowly came to, mind roaming from an unpleasant dream only to be soothed by the sound of the pool of water. Her paws softly stretched out, grasping at the stone floor her claws caught along the floor. A shiver ran along her spine and for a moment she whole-heartedly missed the presence of her clan-mates alongside her. Every morning she had woken grief-stricken yes but she was warm and surrounded by allies. Now she woke cold and lonely. She shook her head, it was the price she had to pay for her idiocy. She often worried that the fight she had with her sister was a mistake but looking back on it she'd have done it all over again. To make up for the loss of clan she slept here at the connection to her starry ancestors. She was always respectful whenever she entered the cave, silent and humble amidst such a holy place. She also served as a guardian for the moonlit pool, keeping less noble cats from interfering with this place. It was all she could do to keep herself sane- a task and job to keep her busy.
She sighed, green eyes roaming as memories seeped through her mind. Today was another day of guilt for the actions she had taken in the past and an urge to make amends. It was a short journey to be near the clans and it wasn't unusual for her to travel back and forth. She'd grab a piece of prey along the way- maybe mark along the SunClan border to cause an upset. Heh, even now she disliked her former clan's enemies. She supposed somethings never changed. [307]
✺ JUNIPERLEAP
tom . thirty-one moons . sunclan warrior . camp w/ open
⤷ Under the sunlight bathed in light QuickSand lay on JuniperLeap's side, purring softly. He pulled her close look her form over with eyes full of pride. The small swell of kits becoming visible in her stomach after the first month in pregnancy made Juniper beam. He was going to be a dad- they were going to be a family. It was all he'd ever wanted in life, a beautiful mate, some beautiful kits, life would be beautiful. He placed his nose into QuickSand cheek, laying a couple lick on her before purring in return. The sunlight through the tree's, breezing through the marsh and whisking past them, bringing the scents of the day with them.
JuniperLeap jerked awake, eyes welling with tears as the dull colour of the present brought him crashing back to reality. QuickSand was dead- QuickSand was dead. He repeated it in his head like a mantra to try and keep the tears down. He stood up, face riddled with sadness as he tried to pull himself together. His paws stretched slightly as he took some deep breaths and walked out of the cave and hopped down, moving to be in the centre of camp, eyes scanning the waking cats, nodding to any cats that passed.
