The Everglades National Park is a 1.5-million-acre wetland preserve on the southern tip of the U.S. state of Florida. Often compared to a grassy, slow-moving river, the Everglades is made up of coastal mangroves, sawgrass marshes and pine flatwoods that are home to hundreds of animal species. Among the Everglades' abundant wildlife, there live two clans of cats, Pineclan and Marshclan, who have adapted to the unforgiving habitat that they live in, becoming stronger and faster both on land and in the water. Pineclan is a group of stealthy hunters that live in the pine flatwoods. They are more at home on land than in the water and tend to be excellent climbers. Marshclan, on the other hand, live amongst the Sawgrass Marshes. They are lithe cats, able to chase prey quickly and silently through the tall grass, as well as through the surrounding waters. They are powerful swimmers and have webbed paws. For as long as any cat can remember, Pineclan and Marshclan have lived in the Everglades and been at relative peace with one another. Now, however, tensions are rising between the clans. Twolegs are encroaching further and further upon their the clans' territory, their loud water monsters scaring off the prey and making hunting difficult. When prey starts disappearing from both clans, accusations fly and war seems inevitable. Neither clan is aware that lurking in the shadows, a group of outsiders watches on, biding their time until they can take the Everglade Territory for themselves.

Appearance → Gatorpaw is your typical Marshclan cat. A lithe, long-legged she-cat, her body is built for speed, rather than brute strength. She has sleek, jet black fur that is naturally oily and water resistant and small but sturdy webbed paws. The result is a petite feline that can cut through the water like an Otter and keep up with even the fastest of land prey. Gatorpaw has a short muzzle, tall ears that give her superb hearing, and large green eyes. Her whiskers are long and white, her nose small and black, and the insides of her ears and pads are dark in color. She has a notch in her left ear from where she caught it on a thorn when she was a small kit.

Personality → Despite her youth, Gatorpaw is a brash and fearless young cat that is ready to take on the world. She has always been a rather spunky kit, her outgoing and talkative nature making it fairly easy to make friends among the other kits and apprentices. She is fiercely independent, intelligent, and can be a bit of a know it all. She is reckless and impulsive, the kind of cat who likes to dive head first into a situation without thinking things through. Gatorpaw is extremely opinionated and isn't the least bit shy about telling others whatever she's thinking or feeling. She can be rather argumentative at times and definitely needs to learn to hold her tongue, but she has a good heart. She is fiercely loyal and protective and she loves her clan more than anything else. While she has a lot to learn about respect, no one can doubt that she will make a superb warrior one day. Gatorpaw is insatiably curious as well. Her inquisitive nature and eagerness to learn makes her a wonderful apprentice when she isn't mouthing off. She is a mischievous troublemaker who often drags others into her schemes and pranks.

Appearance → Stormbriar is a beautiful feline, most notable for her unusual coat color. A bright silvery gray from nose to tail tip, she practically shimmers in the sun and moonlight. Stormbriar has a long, slim body and long legs topped in dainty paws. She is lithe and soft with a bit of muscle strength left over from her warrior training, though not much. Her eyes are a bright, deep green with a ring of yellow on the outer edges of her irises. She had large eyes and ears and long whiskers. Her nose, pads, and the insides of her ears are lilac gray. She has a long, narrow tail that gives her excellent balance.

Personality → Stormbriar is a bubbly, energetic cat. She's the type of cat that just wants to be friends with every other cat. She is bright and intelligent, a quick learner, and is dedicated to her studies as a medicine cat. She has a goofy sense of humor and is super playful, like a young kit. Stormbriar is a total optimist and looks at everything with a bright perspective. She is compassionate, loyal, and a great shoulder to lean on when you need a friend. Stormbriar never lets disappointment get her down for long and always bounces back rather quickly. She takes everything thrown at her in stride and makes the best of it. She can be a little naive and gullible at times, but she has a good heart nonetheless.

History → Stormbriar never actually wanted to be a Medicine Cat. She was born as Stormkit to Heronflight and Wetflower of Pineclan. Her parents had kits later in life and she was the only kit in the litter. Heronflight and Wetflower doted upon Stormkit and always encouraged her to follow her dreams. Like most young kits, Stormbriar dreamed of one day becoming leader of her clan. Heronflight passed when she was eight moons old, after being bitten by a water snake and Wetflower later died of old age when she was eight moons old. Stormpaw was devastated, but it only made her want to work harder to achieve her dreams. Unfortunately, not long after becoming a warrior, it became apparent that Stormbriar was unable to maintain the duties expected of her. She would get short of breath very fast and couldn't run long distances without wheezing violently (Asthma). The leader eventually determined her unfit for warrior duties, dooming her to a life in the Elder's den as a burden to her clan, until the Medicine Cat suggested she begin training to be the clan's next medicine cat. Stormbriar agreed reluctantly, but has actually settled quite nicely into her new role.

Hello, I was checking to see if this was open for joining o: The plot you’ve made for the two of these clans sounds great and I love the area you’ve chosen for them. I’m interested but I also wanted to make sure about the availability. Also, I wanted to say that despite my interest, I cannot promise that I will be active daily due to school so I wished to see if that would be a problem.

No one else has joined yet so we are wide open! And that's not a huge deal. If you can't commit to being relatively active, all I ask is that you don't take a higher ranking cat (medicine cat apprentice is okay but full med cats should be pretty active) just so it doesn't stunt the progress of the rp if we needed the higher ranking cats
