American scientists declare that they have solved the problem of war when they invent a highly toxic, yeast like disease that can grow anywhere with no assistance from humans. The disease, birthed in a sterile facility, and grown in a petri dish, mimics the appearance of mold, yet imitates the behavior of a virus. Test results showed the the disease first (originally) spread by airborne consumption; breathing in spores without a proper procedure mask.
upon transmitting, once an organism begins showing signs and symptoms, the disease is nearly always fatal. the first symptoms may be very similar to the flu and lasts for days. later, fever, headache, and nausea begin to settle in as the malady attacks the central nervous system, traveling up your spine and into the brain. vomiting, intense agitation, and anxiety follow after. because of this, most must go into bedrest, as the infection leaves one weak and anemic.
It's difficult to breathe. A thick, frothy pool of saliva in your mouth swishes unpleasantly back and forth across your tongue. You would like to drink it -- at this point any sort of liquid, even warm spit, might help ease your maddening thirst and dehydration -- but the muscles in your throat won't allow you to swallow. As you lie there, paralyzed, sick from fever and thirst, each labored breath becomes a chore. Frequent hallucinations and your mind's growing instability make it clear that the virus is taking over. and as you breathe your final breath, your brain is now controlled by the disease that had tormented your dissolution.
when your plague ridden body comes back, you are not the same as you once were. you are no longer your own organism. You are now controlled by the virus; mutated beyond recognition. Your skin is pale and rotting, your body has gone through the elated stages of decomposition as few strands of hair still lay on your head. Your teeth are yellow, eyes sunken in and a pitch black. You now crave the flesh of man and beast.
The virus will from then on send you to spread it's terror, saliva infected with it's reign transmitting to every person you bite.

7 soldiers, each from their own nation, must now survive against the wit of nature and ghoul. involuntary alliances align, as now it is no longer man vs man. will these men meet their fate, doomed to die yet come back to life? or will they find a cure, and slowly model a contemporary age? disagreements and language barriers are strong in their strained relationships, and zombies aren't the only thing they must doubt. hunger, cold, disease, ties, and other hostile groups are obstacles in their corpse ridden paths..
