Round one: The recruits and commander
Lanette Lane - hatred
Lanette doesn't believe in hatred. The only thing she hates is hate itself, along with its disastrous outcomes. She fears that blind hatred has the potential to ruin Delra's future. It seems that many believe the Emperor and Prince are "evil" and treat this belief as fact. It's worrying, because what if a truly evil person doesn't exist?
In her opinion, some rebels might need to re-evaluate their priorities. Are they fighting for Delra and its future, or for vengeance? Lanette believes that only compassion can lead to long-term peace for Delra.
Gavotte Lane - losing loved ones
Gavotte doesn't care as much about the big picture. His greatest concerns are his family and friends, and whether they'll make it through this rebellion. He would rather not be involved in missions at all, but he feels he's got no choice. He's doing it so his baby sister Kayla might never have to.
Calm as he appears, Gavotte has no idea what he'd do if tragedy befell his loved ones. He tries to ignore the dark thoughts and questions about what exactly he's capable of.
Ardai Fairchild - growing up
Everyone knows that Ardai's a child at heart. Honestly, he hates the thought that he's eighteen now and might need to start acting his age. All the responsibility on his shoulders is a pressing weight, and he's not even a leader among his peers. It's uncomfortable and he'd rather forget about the whole revolution thing.
Of course, that is not an option. So Ardai wants to end this thing as quickly as possible. All they need to do, according to him, is strike down the Emperor and his snake of a son. Then life can go back to normal, or close enough to whatever "normal" even means.
Commander Atlanta - chaos
There's a certain beauty to be found in order. Even the tyranny of Emperor Brungard has the bright side of keeping most citizens under control. To Atlanta, the current situation in Delra is by no means a worst-case scenario.
What she fears is the revolution seizing power and being unable to maintain a stable leadership. In the absence of a proper leader, the country could degenerate into civil war or even anarchy. That lawless state scares her far more than the current dictatorship, which is peaceful and mild in comparison.
