the clan that took his life and later reanimated his dead corpse. the illness has spread a
and the clan still does not know what to do about it other than to protect one another.

i. do not interact with the dead
ii. do not get bit, if you are bit you will be killed.do not hide you are bit, you
will cause more harm.
iii. do not leave camp by yourself
iv. do not leave camp at night
v. blood loss must be stopped quickly,
the dead can smell blood from exceptionally far ranges. the medicine cat den is
full of scents, you will be harbored there until the blood stops.

the night was rather cold and it didn't change much as morning approached. the dim rays of light reached through the den walls as she opened her eyes, curled up in her nest. the illness that plagued them was still a mystery to her and she had yet to figure out how to prevent it. that being said, she did not let herself worry too much about it. shaking her head, she gave her pelt a few licks before pushing herself up to her paws, glancing around the den for a moment.

the tom had awoken before the sun rose and was simply right outside the camp walls, listening to the morning sounds of the creatures out and about. he had thought about hunting but knew the rules regarding leaving alone, though he wasn't exactly one for listening much. he yawned, his amber gaze searching the area for a moment or two before drifting back into his own thoughts.

the tom had been on one of the last patrols of the night and thus he was rather tired. now he was curled up asleep in his nest, enjoying the warm and not that of the cold of the outside world. leafbare was starting and he wasn't too fond of the cold even if he had a thick coat unlike some. his paws twitched for a moment, indicating that he was most liking dreaming in his sleep.

With a sigh the calico molly finally emerges from her den, having lain around doing nothing for most of the morning. She had decided to distance herself from the clan, waiting until things cooled down before returning to wreak havoc once more. Besides, she wasn't in the mood to do much when she woke up to find Sun missing. Where he went, she did not know. She had tried searching for him but couldn't find any trace of him. Cinder wasn't too worried, however, he was a strong cat who could care for himself.

Today was different. Today would be the day she finally returned to the clan. She gives her pelt a quick groom, wanting to be well presented for her return, before stalking towards the border. She knew that patrols would be sent out soon, so she would have to hurry. The molly crosses the border and begins wandering around, brushing against whatever obstacle she came across. Once satisfied with her work, she leaps up a tree just beyond the border and perches herself on a branch, patiently waiting for a cat to pass by.

Eagleflight opened her eyes for only a split-second before closing them again. -Time to wake up and socialize- the voice in her hed told her. Her subconsious was right. The she-cat opened her ocean-blue eyes once more, this time meaning business. She got up, cautiosuly stepping over her sleeping clan-mates, and headed for the exit. It was a sharp, frosty morning and the first few breaths of fresh air tingled her nose in a quite unpleasant way. Eagleflight stretched, forcing a shiver at the same time to help her body generate heat. Her pelt was rather short and smooth, which made her look very sleek, but really wasn’t helpful in cold times of leaf-bare. For a moment she just sat there, gazing around the camp, as if she wasn’t fully awake just yet. Her mind was blank, it was like she was there but somewhere else at the same time. Eagleflight decided to wait for some more cats to wake up and bring some life to the camp, maybe then she’ll wake up to her full potential.

as a bitter wind blew through, the small black tom puffed out his fur against the wind. he gazed absentmindedly into the woods, his ears twitching curiously. it had been some time since he'd come in contact with the clan, and he couldn't help but wonder what was going on with it. he pushed the clan out of his mind, standing and shaking out his fur. he needed to get some food in his belly now before leafbare was upon him in full force. he rolled a pebble under his paw while he decided where to hunt - clan territory seemed dangerous, as they'd likely be doing the same as him. he blinked pensively as he watched the sun rising on the distant horizon. the cold stones under his feet were tinted a warm orange as the dark pine near his den rustled in the wind.

pipit slept heavily with her thick brown tail covering her eyes from the sun. she chased mice deep in her happy dream, sighing softly when she caught one. suddenly she was startled out of her dream when she heard a harsh call of some bird out in the cold. her large head rose and looked around the den. most of her clanmates were still asleep. she carefully picked her way over the sleeping bodies and into the camp. she shivered, huffing softly as the cold penetrated her dense tabby fur. cold weather will bring grumpy cats. pipit thought to herself, mildly amused.

"i'll keep you warm, don't worry," she purred softly to her unborn kittens. whether or not they could hear her, she didn't know, but she hoped that they could. she looked uncertainly at her swollen belly. leafbare was close, and prey would be short. she paused from her grooming and nervously tucked her paws underneath her, suddenly feeling sick with worry. what if my kits starve? what if they freeze to death? her paws and tail trembled with anxiety as she stared blankly into the camp.\

snowcreek sighed slightly as he woke up. he wasn't looking forward to leaving the den today. his fur should help with the cold a little but the weather would put everyone in a sour mood. still, there was much to do before the snows came. he glanced over at eeriestar, sleeping next to him. she deserved to sleep in but the beginning of leafbare wasn't the best time for it. still, he couldn't bring himself to wake her. he moved himself closer to her and wrapped his tail around her. his blue eyes drifted to the den entrance, watching the cats outside. none of them looked happy to be out, and he couldn't imagine eeriestar would be either. she'll work better if she's well rested. he justified himself letting her sleep in. the clan had fallen on hard times with the... illness. and eeriestar had to bear the brunt of it - taking over as leader, keeping the clan calm. it wouldn't hurt to let her rest for a bit.
