Howls of excitement gradually grew louder from the distance as the hunting parties returned from their hunts, prancing about eagerly as the dogs leaped off rocks and from trees to trees, making their way back to the den.

Devise watched from a distance, a content expression across her muzzle until a sound to her side caught her by surprise.

"Norman?"

The doberman shot a gaze over to the ivinaki before he diverted his attention over to the hunting groups, his face devoid of expression as he looked back down to his paws.
"Sorry, for just now."

The fea almost recoiled in shock.
A sorry?
For some reason, she expected anything else but a 'sorry' from the brute, like maybe with a twist, a prank, perhaps.
But one look at Norman and she knew he was being serious, his gaze never leaving his paws.

"Fights always breaks out amongst us, it's normal." Devise lied.
"Really?"

She nodded curtly.

"You're such a terrible liar, perhaps a lesson from me or two would actually do you some help."
"You dare doubt me?"

Norman casted a mocking look across his face, sneering at the fea - and for some reason, it lightened her up a little bit, even attempting to hide a smirk she could feel forming.

"Never in a million years, ivinaki."
"You're a pretty terrible liar yourself."

Without a warning, the ivinaki pounced atop the jiradi, ignoring all the lessons from Nefiri had given her about being gentle and elegant and to try not to stand out.
Norman let a fleeting look of shock take over his face, but quickly recomposed himself and smirked.

"That's it, dewani. How about a hunt after dusk, just you and me."
"But you're not supposed to-"
"Scared?"

And again with a slight push, Norman threw the smaller dog off with ease.
"Never. It's on."

THE KENNEL OVERVIEW

The Eriu Coven is a mysterious group of dogs that live within the mountains, worshiping pagan gods and practicing their rituals and traditions. They are called witches by the outside world, sometimes feared, othertimes marveled. In reality, they are a tightly-knit family that is protective and highly spiritual. They highly value intelligence, believing that it is one of the most crucial components of a strong pack.

THE TERRITORY

The coven claims the wide mountain range of the north, a place where wildlife runs free, mankind a rare sight. They live in a old, abandoned village by a small lake. The small huts are used as dens, and most dogs share their house with one or two roommates, oftentimes friends. However, when a dog has a family, they go to the leader and ask to have a home for the whole family. The high ranking dogs rarely share their homes with roommates, only family or mates. Houses always have skulls infront of them, different types of skulls meaning different ranks. If it’s a family, they automatically have a wolf skull. Many houses choose to decorate their skulls by putting pebbles, different types of herbs or flowers around or on it. A place of worship is the high stones, it is used both as a place where the leader speaks to the gods and where other rituals are performed.

THE DOGS

The dogs of the coven range from the smallest chihuahua to the largest great dane. The Eriu has no limits or regulations for the breeds accepted in the kennel, believing no amount of strength or grand size could compare to intelligence.

SEASON: crisp, autumn leaves descend from the trees in a heap of warm colors, the whole land so br
ight with the leaves- -- only if you live in that type of area. it is middle of autumn, meaning that it i
s getting colder and colder as the days fly past.. despite it being colder, there is still prey to be hunt
ed and herbs to be collected; pup births should be kept to a minimum, winter is only around the cor
ner remember, their chance of surviving through their winter at that age will be very low. -------------
