I just want to introduce my self a little bit by saying that I love drawing equines and adopting from adoptable horse species. I can't wait for this community to pick up, because this adopt has so much potential!

Hello! My name is HailHydra, but ya'll can call me Hail! I currently have a TH folder for my HoC horses! I'm very excited to be a part of this community, and I hope this community will prosper and flourish!

I really adore horses, they're my favorite animal by far, and I've always just clicked with them! This is the first horse species that I've decided to adopt from and join, and I plan to stick around for these adopts, because I really love seeing horse adopts, especially since they're based off of one of my favorite movies that I grew up watching! <33

I have a few suggestions for horse coats/markings for the artists, if they wish to do any of these~ they can be mix matched and whatnot. c:

Hello fellow horse fans! I'm rainbowpanda101! I've become a little obsessed with HoC and it only just got started! I've got 2 HoC so far - my stallion, Thunder, and my mare, Honey! I am planning on keeping track of all of my HoC adopts HERE and writing as if they're all in one big herd called the Rainbow Ridge Herd.

I've been a fan of the movie Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron since it came out. I've always loved the visuals and the music from the movie, and now to be able to adopt horses drawn in a similar style and collect them is exciting! I am looking forward to adopting more and developing my horses, as well as meeting some of the other interested CS members who've been adopting or will be adopting in the future! If anyone wants to chit chat about HoC or anything, feel free to send me a private message!

What character is your favorite on Spirit: Stallion of Cimmaron?
For my favorite character from the Spirit movie, there is a tie between Rain and Esperanza. Rain just has such character and a spunky attitude, and I have always loved palominos, like Esperanza. Also I love how both these mares convey so much emotion in the movie, without using any words.

I love these lines, and Im really happy to already own one of those pretty HoCs. My beauty is called Nova, what has quite a few meanings. I found it when I was looking for native american names. It said "chases butterflys" there, but also the latin meaning of "new" and the astronomic meaning are quite nice <3

Ah well, anyways. Im not here to talk about names only... I would love to get a thread up for all of my HoC. I have no idea what to name my herd though... and we are back to names again...
What do you think, would Rivers End Herd be a propper name? Or maybe Night Forest Herd? Storm Rock Herd? If you have any favorite, or would want to give another suggestion, Id love to hear it.

As you can see in my form for Nova, I loved the wild mares. Those faces are more than amazing. And I can only agree to JerseyDusk, so much emotions without words. With all of the horses actually.
Also really loved the Lokota horse with the blue circle around its eye. It Was so sweet and loyal.

My name is canis, and I am the owner of these adopts. I've loved the movie since I was super young so I figured why not make an adopt out of it? I'm always open to suggestions that anyone may have for future designs, ideas for the adopts, etc.

My nameless herd will be posted here (I'm searching for a name, so any suggestions would be great!). I currently own Malakai and Imara.

@ Eleya ~ thank you so much for complimenting my herd! I just had a burst of inspiration and my herd and thread just fell in place ♥ ALSO THIS SPIRIT SOUNDTRACK IS HONESTLY TO DIE FOR.....it's so great, I wore through two CDs when I was younger and now I have it on my iTunes

As far as herd names go, (to the both of you who mentioned it and to anyone else) it depends on how you want it to relate to your herd. At least in my opinion. There are many ways of utilizing a herd name; it could relate to the horses in the herd, or the territory. Or it might not really have anything to do with either and you might just think it's a good name! I wanted my herd to feel connected to where I envision that they live, around and near a ravine the holds a stream. Then as I was thinking of that I remembered that arroyo is another name for ravine, canyon, etc. And then I realized that arroyo is kind of a mystical name because it's a rather uncommon word; so I am connecting the arroyo to the herd in a mystical way, as well as a physical way. I have to add that it took quite awhile for me to come up with the name, but it's because I wanted it to have some meaning.
I really hope that my thought process makes sense, and I though I would share it encase it inspires anyone with their own herd names

Hey all, I'm ᗰεяαкι~. I've been a huge fan of Spirit Stallion of the Cimmaron since it's release and to this day it's still my favourite animated movie. I'm pretty sure my little sister hates me for forcing her to watch it with me so many times haha.


My herd is still a WIP and will be found here under the name Fernweh Herd. Fernweh is a German word which is one of the typical foreign words which is hard to translate directly into English but it's basically a longing for a place you've never been.
I thought it fitting for my herd as the concept for them is one in which they long for a safe place free of man. They'll travel to end of the world if needs be, but they constantly look for their hidden, safe haven.

The only HoC I own as of now is a custom stallion Voji. Again a special thanks to ✧BЯ0К£И✧, he's stunning <3.


What character is your favorite on Spirit: Stallion of Cimmaron?
I know they're very minor characters but the twins towards the start of the movie. They are both so cheeky and giddy and seem like they're always up to no good scheming together the whole time.
