she padded to the tidepools, crabs scuttered accross the sand to get away from the cat that was pacing towards them untill she was on a ledge where she had an overview of the water. "there!" she pointed to a pool where 2 cods were swimming in circles trying to find a way out.

"you know what, we can split it tonight. or, i could eat it." she meowed, trying to make her apprentice feel it was a good catch. "now, try again. this time, i'll do it with you." she placed her paw carefully in the water. something bit her paw and hung on. "yow !!" she yowled. she pulled her paw out of the water; it was hanging on. "it wont get off !!" she meowed. she quickly tore it off of her paw, which was now bleeding. "why is a toad-fish out here ?? they are never at the beach !!" she meowed. her paw had bite marks from the fish. "its no use, no cat can eat it." she picked it up in her jaws and tossed it out into the water as bait for more fish. her bloody paw had made the water red. "well, no fish are going to come with this blood. we might as well just hunt on the mountain. im sorry, we can try again later, once the blood has sunk deeper into the water." she meowed, hoping she didn't disappoint her apprentice.

I could maybe help you with that if needed to" she meowed.

she nodded as she stepped closer, she waited for the fish to come a bit closer. one of the fish got close enough so she flickedit out of the water and onto the sand, she killed it by a snap of the spine. she turned around to do the same to the other cod, it was slippery but she managed to kill it the same way like the first one. Creamflower nods and finishes her fish before getting up. "Lets go!" she said. She pads out of camp and into the territory, keeping a close eye out for danger along the way. Eventually she reaches the beach and waits for Crowpaw to catch up before starting the lesson.

Sprucepaw picked up the fish which she couldn't identify. Now that she had her catch Sprucepaw followed Featherdream, "toadfish are rare?" She looked at her mentor. "So wait, if you're saying that I'll see them twice in a lifetime does that mean one could bite me?" Sprucepaw questioned in a muffled tone due to the fish in her mouth. The question got her to thinking, what if a shark or a stingray stung her paw while fishing? She felt a little unsettled by that and was happy to be hunting on land instead of going back to fishing.
