"What?!" she whisper-shouted, not wanting the pups to hear. She felt sick to her stomach as she walked down the hallway and towards the ER. "No, you must be mistaken." she said, not wanting to believe that Max could be dead.

Hylda sighed gently, "I am hoping they can do something, anything, but.." she wasn't sure what to say, "I am sorry Maria."

[Boomer]

"Oh god..." she whispered, "How am I going to tell Matt and Alessa? I... s-should Rainer tell them? I don't know if I can." She took the elevator and went down to the ER. She went to the front desk to ask Jerry, the desk clerk, if Max had been brought in.

"I think you both should be ther." Hylda said softly as she listened to her, Jerry told her he had, and the doctors had pronounced him dead on arrival, they were trying to figure out why, but it seemed like it had been a brain hemorage, nothing they could have stopped, or seen, a freak thing.

[Boomer]

"I'm gonna go find Rainer... I'll talk to you later." said Maria quietly, hanging up with Hylda. She looked to Jerry with wide eyes. "Where is he?" she asked, "Where did they take him?"

"He's in the third exam room right now." he said softly,"They tried resuciatating, but nothing worked."

[Boomer]

"Thanks Jerry." she said, going to the room. She barged into the room, not caring if the doctors didn't want her in there. She had to make sure it was Max. Maria felt her heart sink as she knew it was him. She quickly texted Rainer, telling him to come downstairs right now.

Rainer was heading to a patients room, when he got her urgent text, he hurried down and froze as he walked in, seeing max, "Oh no..."

Maria clung onto Rainer, burying her muzzle in his shirt. "What are we going to do?" she winced.

Rainer hugged her tightly, "We will have to tell the pups." he said softly, "I don't know if we should let them see him though."
