Abhay
Abhay kept his eyes locked on the female in front of him, his hopes high for the outcome. He has his doubts and he wasn't qutie sure whether it was going to work, but it wouldn't hurt to try. Abhay would even help them out if he could, although his injuries wouldn't permit it, he would give it his best shot at fighting for them. The male kept his stance steady and strong, although all the wanted to do was lay down and sleep for awhile to remove the stress that had accumulated on his shoulders.

:Ilianda:
Her eyes traced his outline, recognizing it as a fighting stance. Where Abhay would continue on from it she didn't know but would find out as she focused on him. Her ears flicked to an elder's voice as it boomed through the den, she sighed recigninzing it as a particularly aggravating clan elder. Her pelt stood on end when her mother spoke.
"Why should we believe this upstart enemy's son? He admitted being Namir's son himself. I think this is only a trick to get our fighters into believing a wrong strategy." Mernaya cut him off with a snarl,"That may be, but we will watch and perhaps learn from it. We won't know until we watch him if what he says is true, afterall he does not know which manuevers we have encountered and the battlefield." The ruling leopardess curled her paw around her paws, and let her gaze drop from the elders to sear into Abhay. Her face was smug with hidden knowledge. The elder huffed but did not reply.
Jarume padded from Abhay's side over to Ilianda's to allow Abhay more room.

Abhay
Abhay let out a small sigh at her words. He didn't know what stratagies they had encountered, as there were quite a few, but he was still willing to give it a shot. His eyes flickered toward Jerume, who was now standing beside Ilianda. He gave a small flick of his ears, mainly for comfort before he started. "Well... I'm sure you have seen my clan's defence postions, yes? A simple defence postion of crouching low then springing forward when the opponent leaps forward?" He flicked his gaze around questioningly, not quite sure if he was heading in the right direction with this. "But instead of going straight under they go to the right or left then push off of the ground and counter attack..." His voice trailed off as he looked around once again, unsure whether to continue or not.

:Ilianda:
She heard the hesitation in his voice, the uneasiness. Hoping to bolster him up, she said softly, "Continue Abhay, I'm sure they're just too absorbed to comment." She looked over at the elders and found she was at least partly true. The elder's wisened gazes were directed on Abhay. Her mother included whose ears had gone back, nodding once her voice was heard yet again, "Yes in fact. Continue." The elders grunted agreement.

Abhay
Abhay gave a small nod and swollowed before he continued. "Well when they counter attack, their turns are awefully sharp, if one focuses on smacking a paw or two before they attach to their opponent with either jaws or claws, they slip and fall. I've had it done to me quite a few times. Or make sure to have them in a soft sanded area and they will be slower with their reactions. My clan relies on speed and cunning tricks... When we are defeted in that, we rely on brute strength and nothing more." He flicked his tail slightly back and forth, his eyes turning to meet the elders and at last Mernaya.

She felt like she'd been holding her breath the entire time. She looked at elders hoping to beseech them with only her gaze, to listen, undertand, learn and for the good of the clan, to use it to their advantage. But of course as she expected, Abhay was met with resistance and stubborness. "Your words are true as we have met the very techniques in battle." Mernaya's voice. "We've met this yesterday, and now with your information, we can overcome it. However, as you say they are weak and slow in sand, my clan is as well." The leopardess turned to the elders, "What say you to this Abhay's," She nearly spat the name," knowledge of his clan's techniques? I deem it to be...useful. But will it turn the savanna in our favor?" The elders shuffled around, looking from amongst themselves to Abhay and Ilianda, to Mernaya's fierce demanding gaze.

Abhay
Abhay glanced around at the elders, noticing the small mumbles, shakes of their heads and the ever rare nod every once in ahwile. He lowered his haunches into a sitting postion, wrapping his tail around his hindquarters and over his paws, the tip twtiching back and forth nervously. He pulled his ears back while he listened, hoping for the best. Although he was nervous, he met the meeting eyes with a harsh determined gaze. He was his father's son, but he was no where near associated with him.

:Ilianda:
She reached out with her tail to touch Abhay's hindquarters, a reassuring gesture as much for him as herself as she watched the clan elders discuss the situation. To her there wasn't much to discuss, but it wasn't up to her, it was up to them and she hoped they chose to accept Abhay's information.
Mernaya emerged from the group, "We have decided to use your information to our advantage. The clan thanks you." Her voice dropped harshly, "However if your information turns out to be false, you will not go unpunished. And as a prisoner of war, we have every right to bargain with you as I or the clan deems fit." She gave Abhay a hard gaze then it flicked to her daughter. "My apologies Ilianda. Dear I was not myself, the pressures of war were upon me. I'm sorry." Ilianda was surprised to find genuine reret in her mother's tone even as the eelders filed out after Mernaya.

Abhay
Abhay turned around and gave a small smile at Ililanda's touch, but he was soon returned to her mother when she came forward. His eyes shone slightly at her first part, but when she lowered her voice he pulled back his ears slightly and nodded. "Of course..." His voice trailed off as he looked around at the elders filing out of the den, barely aware what Mernayra had said to her daughter. Once the last spotted tail dissappeared he let out a long sigh that was happy and relieving at the same time. "That was worse then getting the cast."

She smiled faintly. "You did great." She said scooting over to rub his shoulder gently. "The cast you'll have to have on for a long while, that lasted but a few minutes."She said laughingly, "But I admire your strength."
Jarume rose to his paws, stretching and grunting at the creaking of his joints. "You did very well, Abhay. I beleive you two can remain in here. Good night." He paused at the end and said softly, "Call if you need anything at all, I'm never far away from my patients." And he slipped out into the rapidly fading light of day.
