if a cat's arranged mate dies, they will get a new one only if a cat around their age needs one as well.
also, cats lose their arranged mates when they become elders, but if they had a connection they can still consider themselves mates

edit: if anyone is thinking about making another warrior it would be appreciated if it was a tom around the age of whoever does not have a mate at the front as not everyone was able to get an arranged mate due to ages and gender outnumbering
