Pigeoncloud looked over at Whitestar and Bouldersky, ears pricking in interest. They could have been discussing patrols, so the tom stood up, eyeing the high rock. He wouldn't go to sit until Bouldersky was actually going to announce patrols, but Pigeoncloud wouldn't mind going on one. He'd spotted Pinetail approaching the camp entrance, and if he just so happened to leave a patrol to help the medicine cat gather herbs, who could blame him? It was Leaf-bare, sickness could kill and if he helped prevent that no-one had the right to be suspicious.

Hollyheart shrugged. "Yeah, I know. But not everything is in our control. Not even our own mates." She said, hit with a twinge of anger at the reminder she'd never be allowed to have a mate. Owleyes was lucky, he got paired with Littlesprout because it was clear to every cat in the clan that they loved each other. Nothing stood in their way. Hollyheart didn't regret choosing the path of a medicine cat, but it'd be nice to have a little more freedom. It'd also be nice to not have to get prophecies. Prophecies that implied the clan leader might die. Owleyes was very lucky.

Pepperstrike narrowed his eyes at the tom. "You shouldn't. There's no reason to. But if we aren't talking then we're meant to be fighting and I don't want to go back to camp covered in scratches. Quick question, though; you wouldn't claw my eyes out, right? Just checking, since I kind of like my sight." He said, fixing the loner with a serious gaze. Starclan above, why was Pepperstrike humouring this cat? He was an intruder, the warrior should be scaring him off! Curiosity really did kill the cat, didn't it?

Amberheart shrugged off the older warrior's thanks. Ever since Aridstar's hideous truths had been discovered, the clan had been even more worried about everything, not just Leaf-bare. Amberheart nodded as patrols were mentioned. "Yeah, I wouldn't mind getting out of camp. There might be rogues out in the forest, stealing all our prey." She said, eyes narrowing. Amberheart could deal with rogues joining the clan, but they had earned the right to hunt in Reedclan territory.
