Danny put down her book, she'd been intensively reading into the Patronus Spell and finally decided to get prepared. She stood up and pulled her cardigan off, slipping her robes on and attaching her shiny new prefect pin to her robes. She sat back down and crossed her legs. She picked up her book, she glanced outside of her cart and noticed that the compartment across from her own was getting crowded. So she was glad to be alone, she could read in peace. People where normally very loud and it always got in the way of her studying. She flipped to the next page and continued reading.

Matt shifted a bit in his seat, then finally pulled on his robes. He wondered what his brother was doing, he snorted a bit. Probably being corrupted by his family. Sapphire looked at Hannah, her muggle friend. Sapphire’s eyes were ready as she looked at the platform to the Hogwarts express. The sign with 9 3/4 written on it created a shadow on her face. She stared at the ground.
Hannah looked at her, “ You know, maybe this year you’ll make same friends.”
Sapphire looked back in disbelief. “ I love Hogwarts, but I don't think anyone there loves me.” She whispered to Hannah. “ it’s just not fair, I can never fit in, Heck, I can’t even talk to anyone!” Hannah looked at her with an emathatic look. Sapphire knew she had to go to Hogwarts. There was a triwizard tournament, and she would hate to miss out on such an event. She hugged Hannah goodbye, and took her things through the platform and boarded the train.

Zach rolled his eyes and forced a smile to Alyssa. He knew that the champions that were picked were first to dance at the Yule Ball in front of everyone. Suddenly he wasn't as eager to put in name in the Goblet and be selected as he had been before. Zachary could hear every word the girls opposite them were uttering but it meant nothing to him. When Gemma winked at him, he raised an eyebrow, bit his bottom lip and winked back at her, playing along.

Casirnir found a quiet compartment with only one girl and her furry companion. "May I?" she asked politely, gesturing to the seat opposite as she set down her large trunk. The girl seemed engrossed in her book and Casirnir smiled, knowing she had her own book stuffed in her own bag. Her eyes found their way to the station outside, where her aunt Cathy was waving vigorously from the platform. Cassie blushed, giving her a small wave back as she heard the train whistle before it lurched forward. She couldn't hide her excitement as she grinned, watching the station give way to a barren landscape.

She took another one before offering one to him again, "how about banana?" Tess dropped the small bean into the palm of his hand then checked the back of the bag. "Banana.......or vomit," she muttered, taking another one which she hoped was tutti-frutti. Tess glanced at his pet cat dozing in her lap and wondered what she would tell everyone at school about her journey. Sharing sweets with a first year hufflepuff with his cat, Smudge asleep on her legs.

Gemma's smirk widened into a rare, flirtatious smile, making a point to side glance at Alyssa. After a brief moment, Gemma touched Mave's forearm and furrowed her brow. "Did you hear that Devon Cambridge, the former head of Slytherin, went missing this summer in search of some sort of magic-infused sword?" Gemma asked, lowering her voice to a barely audible whisper. "My father is friends with Devon's aunt. She said he's been gone for nearly a month."

Alyssa sat quietly after a while thinking about the Yule ball, the champions had to dance first, she was horrible at dancing. Maybe she didn’t want to enter after all, if she was going to compete against Gemma who might cheat. She was a little nervous when she saw Zach wink at Gemma. Ugh almost everyone fell for his looks but this year that was not going to happen and she was not going to get jealous. But she did like him a little...
She was silent half way through the ride when when the trolley lady knocked on the door. She ordered a chocolate frog and opened it, ”Cool! It’s a card Idon’t have, Bathilda Bagshot” she put the card back in the box and placed it gently into her bag and fell silent again. She wasn’t quite in the mood to listen to Gemma and her friend try to talk to Zach so she tuned them out and looked out the window.

Rustifer looks up and observes the girl with his glossy black eyes before going back to sleep. A woman pushing a Honeydukes trolley rolls past the compartment, tapping on the closed door with a smile. Eden blushes before opening the door and asking for two chocolate frogs. She pays quickly and glances to the other girl to see if she is getting any treats too.

Maven smirked, thoroughly entertained, as she watched Gemma blatantly flirt with Zachary. She assumed he was probably enjoying having Gemma and Alyssa fawn over him, while she knew Gemma’s to just be in jest. However, her eyes became serious when her friend leaned in to whisper her news. Maven uncrossed her arms, tucking a strand of white hair behind her ear that had fallen into her face, “Now that you bring it up,” she said, speaking in the same hushed tone as the girl beside her, “I heard my mother mention the Cambridge family’s name not too long ago. Zach turned back to Alyssa, noticing her sudden quietness. "I wonder what the challenges with be," he said, thinking out loud whilst taking off his denim jacket. Outside, the light was dimming and Hogsmead station was just coming into view. They were nearly there. He heard his stomach rumble loudly and he realised how much he had missed Hogwarts' food. Zach hoped the back-to-school speech from the headmaster/mistress wouldn't go on too long.
