He shrugs and nods his head from side to side.

Layla picked up her puppy, "I love you Cassie." she said and hugged the puppy.

She smiled slightly.

Layla looked at Devin, the puppy yipped. Layla looked at Devin, "Cassie says hi!"

She smiles. "Bring Cassie and let's get to the camp."

Layla nodded and put Cassie down, she walked over to Devin, Cassie at her heals.

She stood to her full height and held her hand out for Layla to take. Holding hands was supposed to make little kids feel safer right?

Layla looked confused but then smiled and took her hand.

She started walking to the camp, gently tugging Layla along, occasionally glancing back at Cassie.

Synicate laid her head back against the brick wall and hen started to sing her song she wrote. Her silky smooth voice was strong and it rang out a few feet.
