Kal snorted, but after the continuous struggle to fit on her lap, he hopped off, shaking out his fur. He flopped down near her, resting his chin on his paws, looking over at her.

Willow smiled softly and shifted into a wolf, laying down next to him. He was of larger size than her, and that was now plain to see. She was a bit small, but she was perfectly fine with that. She looked over at him and did a weird smile by curling up her lips. It looked rather funny and weird.

Kalelr smiled slightly at her, keeling his tail still rather than letting it wag happily. He stretched out beside her, his flank pressed against hers.

A yawn escaped Willow's muzzle, and she hesitantly leaned into the other wolf, laying her head down without even knowing, or caring, where it landing. Soon after, without even caring if it were day or night, Willow fell asleep for possibly the first time since having escaped.

Kal curled up around her to keep her warm. He huffed softly as her head fell onto his shoulder, but didn't shake it off. He kind of liked it there, anyways. He closed his eyes, feeling her flank expand and contrast everything she breached. He slowly fell asleep, feeling warm with content as he lied beside her.

MMI giggle as I watch him eat. "It's fine." I say, and then proceed to devour my protein bar in the same fashion. "We're in the forest, things are meant to be wild here." A mysterious air overshadowing my face, but it vanished as quickly as it had come.
MMI go back to my bag and hesitantly pull out my desert. I wasn't sure I wanted him to see it, but I wanted to eat it. It was a slice of cheesecake, wrapped neatly in parchment paper. It was the kind you made from a mix, not a fancy store bought one, and not made from scratch, but it was made with love, and it meant the world to me.

Nyrah sat at the base of a tree, staring up through its leafy branches, small shards of light picking their way through the vegetation. She close her eyes and turned her head slightly. She was tired. Emotionally tired. Now she just felt like she was in autopilot. It wasn't a great feeling. She pulled her knees into her chest and looked back up at the light, tuning out everything else.

After some time, Willow blinked open her eyes, sleepily yawning. Unsure of how much time had passed, she glanced around and quickly noticed where her head had rested. Naturally beginning to feel embarrassed about having fallen asleep on a stranger's shoulder, she slowly sat up, trying not to wake him. She didn't pay too much attention at looking at him, rather she noticed quickly that she was hungry once more. She needed to wake him up and see if he would help her in trying to catch some more food.

[I'm unsure what time of day it should be now if it would even be daytime. And since I don't know how you plan to have Kalelr's shiftings work, I tried to leave the situation open to him having shifted in his sleep, by keeping her distracted from it.]

Kal's arms had been around Willow after he had shifted in his sleep, his mind free from anger. He softly snored, staying asleep as Willow woke up and pulled away. His clothes were intact, but wrinkled and dirty, and his hair was messy from sleep.

Shifting back into her human state so she could speak to him, Willow looked over and realized that the wolf had shifted into a human, most likely around her age. She froze for a moment, her mind slowly calculating the change in shape. Once it clicked in her mind that he must be a broken, as if he were to be a shifter he would have shifted if he wanted to, she nodded to herself. Ok.. So I wasn't going insane and talking to a random animal that wouldn't understand me. Good. But, what am I supposed to do now? I just slept with a stranger! Thoughts racing, still frozen in place, she shook her head trying to clear her thoughts. Willow gently placed her hand on his shoulder and tried to softly and carefully wake him up, "Um... Good morning."

[You're welcome! I had a feeling that broken's shifts had to deal with emotion (at least to some extent) so I figured it may be related to that.]
