• renvu's weary paws press on deeper into the territory, feeling the craggy rock slice at tired pads. he pauses to take a breath, inhaling the fresh mountain air, feeling some of the weariness seep from his bones. and then: a scent, so faint he could barely catch it over the water smell of melting snow. but it is there. and it is real. and he follows it, weaving through the trees, staying down wind of the scent as it grows stronger and stronger. and then: he sees it. the tracking was hard, but the chase is harder, albeit well worth it. renvu tips his head back and howls to the heavens as thanks for the first kill of the pack of night's fallen.

Worshippers of the goddess, Anarhowl, blessed be she, the pack of Anar Tira, or Sun Guards, has a very positive reputation.They are just, honest and eager to please, but then again, they've never run into any serious trouble - until now. Something is plaguing Anar Tira... but what?

The pack of Anar Tira is strongly matriarchal, believing that only the fae's shall achieve glory while males are destined for little more then dirty work. Hunting, guarding and scouting is left to the males while the females handle diplomacy, caring for camp and preparations for war if needed. On very rare occasions a female will be included in a hunting patrol, but only because the female chose to bless the patrol of her own accord. The alpha fae will hardly, if ever, demand a task out of a female and will always seek out a male to do her bidding. When not handling the pack politics, females of the pack can often be found practicing battle tactics or seeking out new battle movements. Every now and then a male is welcomed to these training sessions but they're usually taken in as practice targets or note takers.

Every two months a ceremony in Anarhowl's name is held in which the whole pack gathers. The alpha female and her mate, if she has one, will lead a song while the moon crests over the horizon. Females of the pack are quick to pick up the song while males attempt to court the singing beauties. Courting is a very difficult art to master - it requires knowledge of the fae being sought. Would she prefer prey or perhaps a couple of flowers? Or maybe she'd like something else entirely? Many a brute has failed at the courting ceremony and it's become a common topic for the males to discuss. If two males are caught attempting to court the same female the female has all rights to lash out be it with brute violence or simply a harsh word or two. Legend says Anarhowl herself was known to tear the tongues out of males who dared to court her when another was already catching her eye. Once the courting is over the alpha female, seemingly entrance by Anarhowl herself, will choose one fae to on Anar's Journey - a spiritual journey or quest meant to awaken the soul. For as long as any fae can remember this tradition has been going and every fae that returns gains a new respect within the pack as well a ceremony held in her own name. The kin of the successful fae are showered in gifts and praise.

Flowers are prized possessions in the pack and to receive a gift of flowers is highly sought after. Each flower has it's own message in the petals and more often then not the females will adorn themselves with the things.

Anar Tira reside in heavily wooded area with a large mountain near one border and an abandoned city on another. Their camp is happily placed in a small meadow trapped in the wood with a small creek babbling along it's edge. The creek is harmless and it's a fun place for both pups and elders to splash in when the weather gets unbearably hot. Normal forest prey roams here; squirrels, deer, rabbits, etc. and as for predators the scariest things the wolves have to face are bears and the occasional cougar or badger.

Anarhowl is the goddess of sunlight, wind and song.
Naming for Anar Tira works very similarly to the Warriors system. Leaders are -howl, pups are -pup, and every other rank varies based on attributes.
Anar Tira love song and dance. They create musical instruments out of old prey bones, nutshells, tree bark, anything they can get their paws on.
Anar Tira shares a border with Army of the Fallen.

Valora's breathe clouded in front of her face as she trudged through the snow. She shook her head, tiny droplets of red falling off of her ear and onto the snow around her. The brown she-wolf snarled slightly, digging her claws deeper into the snow as she surveyed her surroundings.

The lone she-wolf and her mate had been chased out of their pack shortly after they became mates, breaking the pack's rule that only the alpha pair could mate and produce pups. Valora and her mate had been the pack's omegas, forced to stay in the nursery all day and watch the alpha pairs spoiled spawn. The omega pair had grown tired of caring for pups that weren't their own and decided they would try for their own. When they were found out, they were given the option of being killed or leaving the pack. After choosing the second option, Valora got separated from her mate along the way to find their own home.

Valora carefully continued her way through the snow, her ears pressing back slightly as she entered into a foggy area of the forest. So far, the forest seemed like it would be a safe place for a pack to live. The she-wolf puffed her chest out slightly, proudly thinking of the pack she would create.

But first, she would need to find her mate.

Upon catching the scent of another wolf in his territory, Wiltedstar gave a small snarl; already there was some pitiful fool deciding to waltz in and steal his prey. Just as he'd begun his trek to track down the trespasser and bring swift judgment in the form of sharp teeth, a familiar face trotted out of the brush - it was the wolf he'd seen in his prayer to the ancestors. Hmph. So they were real.
The older wolf looked around before spotting the leader, hesitating slightly at the sight of him. Finally, after what seemed like hours of silence, he spoke.
"You're a lot... Smaller than I thought you'd be."
Wiltedstar puffed out his chest, his pride taking a harsh blow as he spoke bitterly, "And you're a lot less competent than I thought you'd be. Have you ever even been in an advisory position before?"
The older wolf winced. "Touché... I'm Coppersight. What's your name?"
"Wiltedstar. Now come - there's a trespasser among us and we must find them." And with that, the smaller wolf staggered forth, Coppersight padding quickly after.

The young adult wolf padded about the empty camp. The twoleg dwelling place had been empty for seasons, and grass was starting to grow again. He paused as he neared the Bell Tower, then shook his head. What would be the point of ringing it? There were no wolves to summon.

Turning away from it, the wolf shook out his fur, and padded towards the empty metal snake he'd claimed as his den. He needed to get some rest before he traveled to speak with the ancestors.

Padding to the crest of the hill, the wolf sat in one of the few places in the abandoned city that was covered in wildlife. A small forest, with a little river running through it that spread through the rest of the city. Sitting near said river, the wolf lifted his head back and howled. A few beats in, another howl joined his voice, and then another. The wolf lowered his head, and wagged his tail as he looked at the two spirit wolves that stood before him.

"Greetings Ace." the one on the right said. The living wolf, Ace, bowed his head. "Hello Alpha." The she wolf smiled and said "And now that is who you are as well, you have done well, you've established your territory, and now you must fill it. We will send you a wolf to get you started, is there any particular rank you have in mind?"

Ace nodded "I'd like a Pup-Mother, to bring new life into my pack as early as possible. Her pups will grow knowing only the Bells."

Rustic Moon Pack

Territory>> This pack lives in a pine forest. Their camp is located behind a waterfall at a large lake. With the cave entrance being behind the fall, you are bound to get a little wet while entering, although not too much. The inside of the cave is dimly lit but enough to that one can see without blindly walking into something. The main cave is the entrance-like a living room-at the back is a prey pile. The main cave has many other caves attached to it-leading in and out. This includes the Alpha's den, the Shaman's den, etc. Some of the dens have holes in the ceilings or even gem-like rocks that reflect light, causing it to be bright sometimes in the dens. This includes the alpha's den. Coming back outside to the lake; the lake is rather large and is surrounded by pine trees and large rocks. Enemies are unable to attack from behind since they can only get inside the cave by only one entrance. A popular location on the wolves territory would be Crescent ridge. It is a small, rocky, valley-like area that can be quite difficult to navigate through with rocks of various sizes around your paws.
In winter, the snow becomes thick and it gets difficult to travel; the water freezes over and the ground becomes stiff. Spring is a good season-It is still quite chilly but it feels nice compared to Winter. Flowers bloom, the sun shines (usually). Summer isn't too hot-only on some days.

The wolves>> The wolves of the Rustic Crescent Pack vary in temperament and personalities. The qualities they all share though are loyalty-very strong loyalty, they would stay with each other to the end. Along with Compassion. While they can be quite soft sometimes, these wolves are strict and look before they leap, especially if they do not know the outcome. These wolves are also known to be very patient and understanding. With all these good qualities though, unfortunately, these wolves don't trust easily; it can be a while before they completely trust you. Some have been known to be extremely snappy as well, but this isn't the case with all the wolves of this pack. Their coats vary in color. Rare colors include white. Uncommon colors are black and misty grey. The most common colors are brown, grey, sable, and reddish-orange. During spring and summer is when the wolves have a thin coat. They begin to get their winter coat during fall-when there may be light snowfall once and a while-and then a thick winter coat is developed for the harsh season.

Background>> The Rustic Moon pack was once a great pack, greatly known by others. No one knows what exactly happened to the original alpha + her pack. Many think they were lost to a snow storm or died from a mysterious illness. The old pack was very wise and intelligent. Attempts to rebuild it have failed but maybe now they can final begin.
