Matt blinked a little, his ears went back, and he focused back on his homework once more, he was fairly sure he had upset Alessa again, and he decided maybe he should give her some space.

[Boomer]

"Where is Matt?" she asked quietly. "In my room..." answered Maria, pointing to the stairs, "He's watching the girls." Alessa dipped her head as she went upstairs to speak with him.

Max looked over when Alessa came down th hall, he gave her a soft smile, "Hello Alessa." he said as he looked at her, "Did you have a good nap?"

[Boomer]

Alessa stood in the doorway and nodded a little. "Yes, I did..." she murmured softly. The pups had fallen asleep in their playpen. "I heard Maria and Matt talking, and well... I'm wondering if maybe she's right. Maybe I should go to a normal school..."

Max looked at her, "Is that what you want?" he asked her with a soft smile, "You could try it out, and see how you feel." he said as he looked at her.

[Boomer]

"Not really, but..." she murmured, but trailed off. Alessa felt she was in some sort of limbo; she wanted to do something, although her fears of being bullied were strong. "I want to be smart, like Matt..." she whispered.

"You are smart Alessa." Max said with a soft smile as he looked at her, he hugged her gently, "We coul see if you can be in Max's class, we can go visit the school if you want." he said with a soft smile.

[Boomer]

"Not like him... I'm not smart like that." she mumbled, "Please don't put me in his super advanced classes. I don't want to look like an idiot." Alessa's education barely reached the second grade; she didn't want to be pushed into advanced classes.

"You don't have to be smart like Matt to be smart." he said softly as he looked at her, "And of course, we can put you in the regular class." he said as he looked at her, "Or I think they have some specialized smaller classes if you'd want that."

[Boomer]

"Whatever will get me caught up..." she said quietly, "I don't want to fall even more behind." The pup had realized that she couldn't stay in this limbo state anymore; she was healthy now and she wasn't worrying about dying from an infection every night.
