Tala gasped. "Shoot!" She scrambled over to Slade and glanced at his shoulder. The bullet had hit bluntly. She pressed her lips up against his skin and sucked the bullet out, spitting it out on the ground.

A dog raced over to Slade and grabbed his scruff, pulling him away from Tala.

Tala snarled at the dog. "Back off." she growled lowly.

"Or What?" The dog snarled. He dug his teeth into Slade's neck.

Tala launched herself at the dog. The force of her lunge sent her and the dog tumbling down a hill. She snapped at its legs and throat and stomach.

Slade groaned and weakly stood up. He saw Tala and gasped then raced down the hill, growling at the dog. "Tala!" Slade yelled, ripping the dog off of her.

Tala's sore leg had a few long scratch marks down it. "I'm fine." she gasped, glancing at Slade. "Are you?" Then, not waiting for a response, she struck out at the dog's throat.

Slade shook his head. He coughed up blood and shut his eyes. The dog yowled then gasped for air, but he was too shocked to breathe. "It's over...he's property of the humans now." It coughed before falling to the ground, dead. Slade opened his eyes weakly and looked at Aastra. "I'll...be...okay..." He panted. "Get back to the pack and alert Kasumii. He'll know what to do..." Slade's voice trailed off as two humans walked down a dirt path towards him.

Even though Tala wasn't that strong and Slade was quite heavy, she still grabbed him by the scruff and tried dragging him away. "If you're going, I'm going."

Aastra got up sensing blood of Slade and Aastra she got u elert and walked to the smell of blood and fownd Tala and slade and a dog she snarld anouther one came and attacked her "grrrrrrr" she growld "go awway" (hehehe ima back)
