Personality:
Duncan is friendly, but extrememly shy and easily frightened. Many times, he is called jumpy. which fits him almost perfectly. Duncan doesn't like loud noises or sudden movements, so the city is not a very good place for him. This zver is easily stressed, and has been known to be a bit snappy, especially if he is cornered or feels threatened. Duncan is claustrophobic, so being caged or confined in any way sends him into a panic, which in turn makes him aggressive. When he isn't stressed or scared, Duncan is almost like a housecat. He loves to have his fur stroked, and will instantly relax if his ears are rubbed. He is friendly with everyone, but doesn't quite trust humans, instead he just allows them to give him attention before moving on. He is intelligent, so he knows to remain in motion and stay away from places with a large number of human inhabitants. He doesn't like domestic dogs, he feels their energy and blind devotion are wasted on humans. Please be aware that this is only a basic profile of his personality. Duncan's personality changes depending on environment and circumstances.

Duncan/ Forest

Duncan crouched at the edge of the forest, his eyes on the city ahead of him. Blackcoat stood at his side, a hand on his back. "I wont be long, Duncan. Remember, stay hidden." He rolled his eyes at the phrase, the same phrase he heard every week. He nudged Blackcoat forward before melting into the trees, disappearing despite his red coat.

As he trotted quickly away from Shai and toward the city, Tarrin found himself brooding on the days back at the lab. He remembered when he had first seen the Zvers. They had been frightening. Alien monsters that had been discovered aboard a wrecked ship in a clearing nearby Metta's forest lab.
He had been assigned to CC2117, grown attached to her and she to him, and the unlikely pair escaped the lab together. He had saved her life that day. He remembered the meeting, the verdict passed that CC2117 was too dangerous to be left to roam and they were going to euthanize her to prevent violence. What they didn't know was that the bond he felt with her was not something to fear. She protected him, loved him, and cared for him more than anyone he had ever known before. She was loyal only to him, and he appreciated the friendship she gave him.

Entering the city always gave him the chills these days. Too many people, any of which could be one of his ex-coworkers or someone else who might recognize him. He walked down the street, keeping his head low and shoulders hunched, moving quickly toward the place he knew he would be safe.

Shai whimpered as Tarrin moved out of sight. Once he was gone, she began to pace, feeling very worried already. What if he didn't come back this time? How would she survive without Tarrin there to share her trials with?
Her paws moved quickly along the ground, silent, despite their size and her weight. Soon she was moving at almost a dead run, back and forth, round and round.
Suddenly she broke from her original path and shot up a tree, her body feeling light and her breathing coming in quick short bursts. Once at the top, she watched the figure that was Tarrin enter the city and disappear around a corner.

Shai hated to wait for him to return. But wait she would.

Another injured Zver. This one had managed to get his head through the bars of his enclosure but had gotten stuck trying to pull it back in. He had wrenched his back and thrown out his neck, but Metta was sure he'd be fine once the veteranarian got him fixed up.
At least it hadn't been as bad as the pregnant female. No one had realized that she was bearing a litter of cubs until it was almost too late. The cubs were still born and the female nearly bled out, but at least her life had been spared.
Metta herself had mourned the loss of the four baby zvers and had insisted on burying them rather than using them for study the way some of her collegues suggested.

[Cion Keiasta]

Setting: Borderline between Forest and City.

Jessica:
Come on you two! Faster, faster, faster! Come on sharpen your skills! Especially you Cecilia! You have never been on the hunt with me so you need to learn from Azura. You need to practice on your endurance, agility, speed and stuff like that!

Cecilia:
Is she always like this Azura? That cheerfulness and yeah. Its like she never frowns or gets sad.

Azura Zelda:
Oh no. She's like that, but turns out she didn't have a good life. And what's that? A smell of another zver? No no. More than that. A male zver with a companion. And another female zver with a different companion? And you need to keep on lookout of another zver.

Cecilia:
You're right Azura! There is a scent of two zvers. We should report this to Jess. I ran with Azura to Jess to report this.

Azura Zelda:
I ran with Cecilia to Jess. I whined and nudged Jess, who immediately took attention of us.

Jessica:
So you guys also noticed? That's a good job you two. I gave them both hugs and a pat. And threw some dogs biscuit at them. Better than nothing I guess. I sorta see them. Let's see what they are doing.

((Are companions allowed to have pets other than zvers? Like dogs for an example?

Duncan's head shot up as the scent of more Zvers reached him, sending him into the trees. More zvers...more humans. He crouched down among the branches, concealing himself among the thick leaves, watching the two Zvers and their companion.

Jessica:
Hmm... I know there is a zver somewhere close to us. I think he concealed himself or something but I can't find him. His companion is nowhere to be found.

Azura Zelda:
I think I found him. I smelled the air and looked up on the tree and saw him. I can see his eyes observing us. Cecilia, look up that tree. Look carefully. Do you see him?

Cecilia:
I looked where Azura showed me. I saw his two blue eyes. They were beautiful. I see him Azura. I ran up to Jess and pulled her shirt towards the tree with that male zver was hiding.

Azura Zelda:
Once Cecilia pulled Jess here, I gave a signal to Jess that there was a zver here. I tried my best to show where the zver was observing us.

Jessica:
Good job you two. Here is one biscuit to the each of you. I see him now. My my. His eyes are such a gorgeous shade of blue.

Duncan climbed out of the tree cautiously, his blue eyes flickering as he backed away. He hissed at them, the long sound turning into a growl as he waited for the nets and ropes that usually came with the discovery of a Zver in the wild. When they didn't come, he relaxed slightly, although his long red tail didn't stop moving.

((Jess: Um, I'd rather not since this is mostly a zver and companion roleplay. However, as long as said pet doesn't become a main character and is just sort of there to interract with, I don't mind too much.))
