jace gripped declan's head in his jaws, his hot, moist breath ruffling his hair. a growl thundered from his chest as he tightened his grip threateningly. he could smell stella's fear and it hung in his nostrils. everyone had a different fear-scent and the harpy's was like rotting strawberries and... something else. he couldn't quite make out what it was, but it was thick and he didn't like it. his gaze flicked to xander and he let out a short whine. he didn't like to see xander forced into this violent mold, but he wouldn't oppose him any further.

Ted walked across campus, examining a small snowdrop flower that had bloomed. “Fascinating,” he said softly.
