“They sure didn’t! Of course the poor scout was alright, though his pride was wounded for cycles afterwards. We only barely managed to escape that day, and I’ll never forget it.” Ironhide replied.

Nightshade nodded, put at ease by his words. "Thanks, Jazz."

"I wanna be a warrior like you! Fighting Cons, helping get Cybertron back. Megatron will cower in fear of me!" Fang exclaimed.

then mirage reminded her

she jogged back into the ark and went to her room

then as he heard they were going he quickly reminded jolt

Jazz patiently waited for Jolt Drive to return. As he waited, his thoughts once again went to the events of the previous two days. He’d been so close to death, so why wasn’t he upset? Most bots took a while to recover, both mentally and physically, from such an attack. Why didn’t it bother him?

Ironhide laugher. “You’re still a long way from being a warrior, youngling. I think you’ll be a great one though.” He replied. He was secretly hoping the war would become over before Fang ever saw battle.

"You alright?" Nightshade asked, looking at Jazz. Even though the visor hid his optics, she felt like his mind was elsewhere.

Fang smiled widely, tail wagging behind him. "Thanks, Hide." He said before hopping up and starting to leave. "I'm gonna practice my fighting skills."

Jazz snapped out of his daze, turning to look at Nightshade. He forced a smile. “I’m fine. Just zoned out for a minute there, that’s all.” He said reassuringly.

Starscream reluctantly returned to Megatron once all the scans were complete. “Lord Megatron, we have picked up the traitor’s life signal. It is here, on Earth. However, we cannot find her exact location.”

"Trying to think of how to win if we raced again?" She teased, gently poking his shoulder.

"I won't go too far!" Fang called over his shoulder before turning into his wolf form as he left the Ark.

Megatron growled at the news. "So, she wasn't lost to the stars." He said mostly to himself. "Find her location. Take Deathclaw and a few others with you. Bring her back online. And don't fail me again, Starscream."

Jazz snickered, flinching away. “How do you know I didn’t let you win?” He asked, rasing an optic ridge. “Maybe I wanted you to win. Ever think about that?”

“As you wish, Lord Megatron...” Starscream said, leaving while grumbling curses under his breath. He’d like to see Megatron try to find her. “Deathclaw, report to me immediately.” He commed.

Nightshade blinked, never even having the thought cross her mind. "If you did let me win, it just proves that you're a gentlemech."


"What's the matter, Starscream? Disappointed Megatron again?" Deathclaw asked. Even though Starscream couldn't see him, his tone made it clear that he was smirking.
