@dinolover - I wouldn't want to put you out, dino, although that is a very kind offer. ^^

@Fool - Ah...yeah. I wanted it to be dramatic. ^v^ Stormhaze has a very regretable and difficult past. It's best to display this occasionally; especially in this moment to magnify just how outcasted he is to his family.
Romance is certainly not in his favor, I'm afraid. The cards he's been dealt weren't very kind to him~ but perhaps we'll see?

It was definitely intentional; Stormhaze is just too stubborn to show his true emotions, even when it comes to physical and mental abuse from people that were meant to be dear to him cx

I definitely like their relationship, whether it grows platonically or romantically

It's definitely bound to be platonic on Zeri's end, tbh? Writing them interacting makes me inclined to say that Zeri's more leaning towards a 'I must be the older sibling' type view towards her.

Nothing's to say that Layla's might not develop more romantically inclined toward them though, that could end up being interesting. Unrequited love always has drama potential.
