[Boomer]

"Mare likes those organic, antibiotic-free nuggets." said Maria, looking to Mark, "They're surprisingly not terrible." She gave Rebecca to him as she grabbed everything she'd need. "Do you want some nuggets and fries?" she asked, glancing to Mark. Maria didn't feel like cooking something for herself, so she decided to eat some nuggets and fries as well.

"Ya. That sounds good. That way we don't have to worry about trying to make something else. It will just be a lot less stressful." He said and helped her get them ready to cook. He then put them in the oven. He walked over and kissed her cheek. He then leaned against the counter and waited for them to be done.

[Boomer]

"You're the best." she said softly, kissing his cheek in return. Rebecca looked up to them as they kissed each other, slightly wrinkling her nose. The pup then turned her attention to the timer on the oven.

Mark smiled at her. "Thanks darling." He said with a smile. He smiled at Rebecca who clearly did not like them kissing. He took the food out when it was ready and let it cool a bit before putting it on plates and putting it on the table for everyone.

[Boomer]

"You're welcome dear." said Maria happily, taking Rebecca into the living room. She gently woke up Alessa and Cynthia, then got the pups into the dining room. The pups sat down as they looked to their plates. Alessa, of course, was the best eater out of all of them.

Jake was still waiting to hear anything about the surgery.

Mark sat with the pups and started to eat as well. "How was your nap?" He asked the pups. He wanted to talk to them a little bit. He liked talking to them.

[Boomer]

Alessa didn't talk as she ate; she never liked talking when she had food in front of her. Cynthia lightly shrugged, her usual bubbly and cheery attitude was no where in sight. "It was okay..." she mumbled. The little pups ate enough so Maria didn't complain, then gave what they had left to Alessa.

Mark sighed as he watched the pups. He hoped that everything would be okay so they would not worry so much. He did not like the pups being so sad. He watched them go and finished his food before he looked at Maria.

[Boomer]

Maria glanced back to Mark before she helped him clean up. She was wondering how Mary was doing. Alessa finished all of the food she had been given. She dropped her plate off in the sink.

Mary was finally wheeled back into the recovery ward. The surgeon came out to the waiting room to let Jake know everything went well and Mary was resting comfortably.

Jake nodded when the doctor told him that she was recovering. "Can I go see her?" He asked wanting to. That was all he wanted to know and he waited for the surgeon to leave before he called Maria to tell her.

Mark looked at Maria's phone as she got a call. He finished cleaning up and then leaned against the counter.
