Spottedfur blinked, looking down to see the kit. She purred softly, nuzzling the young apprentice-to-be with a friendly and playful smile. "That's wonderful!" She beamed, eyes bright.

Spottedfur chuckled softly, licking the top of his fluffy head. Warmth filled her eye, but inside she was worried how Hawkstar would react. She didn't need him thinking she was falling behind. Maybe he won't notice I slept in late, she thought.
