Ey! Another Classic fan.
Since Eight is your favourite Doctor, have you listened to any of the audio dramas? I've listened to a few... Storm Warning and I'm nearly finished Neverland. I think Eight would be my favourite Doctor if he had more episodes - and a not crappy movie!

yep, listened to the dark eyes series and then some random other ones. Also Neverland sounds awesome, I'll have to listen to it sometime. And he definitely deserved a better movie, some episodes would have been nice as well.

I found Twice Upon A Time fairly ehh, to be honest. I felt like it had no real plot? The reference to the 1914 truce was nice, though.

In another attempt to revive this thread, thoughts on the Thirteenth Doctor? I liked the first episode, I think Jodie Whittaker did brilliantly. I loved Capaldi's grumpy old doctor, but the return to the excitable, kindhearted doctor is awesome. I didn't like the next two episodes very much. Rosa was okay, had a few great parts, but most of the dialogue felt forced and the accents were awful.

Yea i like the new doctor as well but i have found the plot and writing overall lacking. there are good moments but over all the story do not play out well. i was hopping we could get another session with her but a different writer. i had such high hopes having seen his other work but its been a let down in my opinion.

oh geez, i need to catch up...but we switched providers, and i don’t really like the new provider, plus my dad doesn’t tell me he’s watching recordings, and just deletes them...ugh

I am not caught up yet on episodes of Jodie's portrayal of the Doctor, but I've seen the first few episodes. I really love her so far! I'm hoping for the best for the rest of the episodes.

I'm caught up with everything except for the last 1-2 episodes. It probably helps that I really wasn't a fan of Moffat's style and am thrilled just to see things changed up, but I am loving everything about Season 11, both the new Doctor and the writing! I went into the season not really having any opinion one way or the other about Jodie or having a female Doctor, but I think she's been doing a fantastic job so far and there have been several episodes I enjoyed a lot and had to go back and watch again. :D

Did you hear, though, they're going on yet another year-long break and airing Season 12 sometime in 2020. I'm honestly starting to worry about the future of the show if this becomes the standard. No doubt the serious fans will stick with it and keep the fandom alive like they've been doing for 55 years now, but I could see more casual viewers giving up or losing interest if they have to keep waiting through entire years with nothing happening, along with these erratic and unpredictable release dates. >~<
