Summoning Ritual:
A soft scraping sound filled the crisp night air as the bright red stick of chalk was gradually worn down on the rough concrete. A circle. And now a star in the middle. The line was never broken.

"Perfect." Purred the Bringer of Light. Small lavender scented candles were placed on each of the five points of the star and, in the middle, the skull of a goat that had been soaked in rosewater.

The Bringer of Light rose on tired legs and shambled their way to the altar of the old, empty church, there they placed their offering to the Hellund. Several pieces of candy corn.

They lit the candles and began the prayer. "Attenrobendum eos, ad ligandum eos, potiter eos, coram me." Blue eyes open and they repeat the spell in English this time. "Command them, bind them, bring them to me."

With that, a large, dark hole seemed to open in the floor and a large, black creature jumped fluidly out of the void. It let out a soft growl before padding on soft paws over to the altar and sniffing the offering. With yet another fluid movement, the creature had jumped on top of the altar and began wolfing down the candy corn until nothing was left.

At this moment, the Bringer of Light approached. "Batibat." They greeted, earning a small yip in response from her.

"Far too long have you been alone, my sweet. What do you say? Will you take me up on my offer now?" They asked, standing motionless and awaiting the verdict.

After a short, but seemingly endless, moment, Batibat responded by jumping back off the altar and padding over to Light where she proceeded to press her head against their hand.

The Bringer of Light grinned widely. "I'll take that as a yes, my sweet. Let us go."

And with that, the pair disappeared into the darkness.
