Liam laughed, "You call that a shot?" He picked up the ball and shot it. It went right through the hoop, making a swoosh sound. He was glad he made it. He thought he had gotten rusty since the last time he played. He used to play basketball for his high school before he died.

shin looked at the girl, he could hear her heart beating uncontrollably. noticing the sweat on her brow, he reached into his pocket and grabbed his handkerchief out of his pocket. handing it over to the girl, he spoke softly "calm down. you're heart is racing. no need to be away of me. i just have anger issues and being a werewolf, it doesn't make it any better. i'm the only one in my family that caught my dad's werewolf gene and i never knew him. so it's been pretty rough. i am sorry if i scare you." he then looked away from her, trying to avoid eye contact.

"Hmph," Valentina glared at Liam. She picked up the ball and held it against her side in the crook of her elbow, "I haven't played since I got here. Want to play? No cheating using your ghost powers either." She decided she'd put out the offer; Valentina hadn't played a game in forever.

"Hmm, I guess I wouldn't mind beating you." He said with a smile. He floated to the ground, putting his feet on the gym floor. It was weird for him, "Now that I think about it, I haven't actually walked on the ground in a while." He gave a weak smile, he was actually kind of nervous, it kind of felt like his legs were weak in a way. He didn't like it, but he wanted to play so he ignored it.

Valentina chuckled, "Like you would be able to beat me. Defense or offense?" Valentina decided to let Liam decide wether he was going on defense or offense for the first round. It would be hard to prevent Liam from cheating, but Valentina had to keep herself from shooting through the guy as well.

When Liam heard the word defense he froze. 'Dang it' he thought. He forgot that technically he wouldn't be able to stop her, he would just phase right through her. 'I mean yea she could just pretend she couldn't and try not to run into me, or I could just stop the ball and not her, but that wouldn't be a good game. "On second thought, I think we should go help Naomi with the werewolf." he didn't want to say what he thought, he didn't want Valentina to feel bad or anything. "I think she might need some help."

"Why? Are you-" she stopped herself. She thought about the logic this game would follow and it would be close to impossible to tell if someone were to cheat, "Actually, yeah. Let's go check on the werewolf. I don't want things to get ugly." Valentina shivered as she spoke. For some reason, she imagined what would happen if she didn't chain herself up at night. She shook the thought from her head and put the basketball by her stuff and grabbed her warm fur coat. She slid it on and made her way over to the garden.

'Ugly?' he thought, but then brushed it off. She didn't seem to realize the reason he declined, and he was happy about that. He followed Valentina outside to the garden and saw Naomi and the werewolf still sitting on the ground.
