Klonda had long fallen asleep, silently snoring. Alexander, however, couldn't sleep. Alexander looked up to the sky, still staying silent. At that moment, he felt another presence nearby. He slowly turned his head to see a Dingo looking at the tree. He blinked, hoping that it was just hallucinations, and looked back up to the sky. Alexander looked at the rotting branches of the dead side of the Living Death Tree, seeing how each one twisted and turned. Doing that made him feel tired, as he laid down on the rotten branch he was sitting on and fell asleep, drifting off to sleep with one thing in mind. maybe all of us need peace and quiet at this point

Klonda was still sleeping. Alexander woke up from a mild nightmare, putting his paw on his head. Alexander looked down at the Dingo touching the Living Death Tree. they better not try to destroy it... he thought, staring. it's a good time to check the water... he thought, turning his attention to the water. Nothing that would be considered harmful formed in the water. Alexander turned his attention back to the Dingo, calmly breathing. He didn't want to approach it, and he didn't want it to approach him.

BrightFire's eyes opens wide, her eyes were glowing, the trees roots slowly grew and surrounded her paws, little ticks of fire flickered from her paws. The roots ate some of the fire and quickly shriveled away. BrightFire's eyes dimmed and went back to normal, she felt a bit drained "..." a loud huffed flew from her muzzle as she laid down and closed her eyes.

Alexander silently yelped, "The tree was never suppose to do that!" Klonda woke up slowly and asked, "never suppose to do what?" Alexander turned to Klonda and silently said, "The tree's roots were never suppose to grow around an animal's paws like that!" Klonda glanced over to the water, confirming that nothing harmful had formed.
