Sauchin felt his shoulder droop and relax. Deep inside he was glad that Sublimal offered to get some food.
He almost jumped high in the air when he felt something rush into him, but then saw it was dirt. He looked confused in the direction it came from, and saw Leia's gleaming eyes and stubborn smile. "You're awake!" He said in a hoarse voice. He could feel his tail wagging, when he lay himself beside her. He put his head on the ground and mumbled to her. "You must be getting quite tired of males fuzzing over you all the time.. I wonder if you'll leave when you've recovered." Sauchin let out a weak chuckle, and then slipped into the world of dreams..

Solus stopped for a while and hesitated. Then he laughed. "I don't think so. Anyway, he will be just as great in fighting. Of course, my son is the mos-" he stopped and placed a paw on her throat. He then put weight to it, attempting to choke her. Then he stopped and backed away, realizing what he was doing. "I-I..." he stammered, his ears flat against his head. "N-no, I won't kill you. I can't." he said and backed until he backed straight into a tree. He gasped and watched Stella for a while, all anger removed.

Levi sighed and licked him. "Just get used to it..." she said low and licked the top of his head, resting her muzzle on top of his head. She smiled slightly, but nuzzled Dugo soon after, trying to cheer him up a bit.

Ginto smiled. "I know, right? I will stay around and watch them grow up, just wait and see... They will learn everything I know!" he said and licked them, sniffing their fur. Then he sat down and groomed his own fur. "Perhaps we should leave, and get some prey?" he suggested.

Sublimal nodded and ran off into the forest, his senses on edge from his encounter with Leia's friend. He was wide awake now. And ready to hunt, he sniffed the air, A herd of.. He sniffed the air again, Deer! He smiled and followed the scent 'till he saw a small herd of deer, then he soon saw an old buck who looked to be injured. He learned always kill the injured ones first so the strong ones can live on. He padded forward, not stalking them, knowing the stronger ones would flee, but not the injured one. "Make it quick and fast.." He said to himself and strongly bit the old buck's neck and killed him quickly, and began dragging it to the pair of Serenches.

"Can't kill me why?" She challenged, knowing his harsh nature now. Stella watched him, standing to her feet and giving a defensive posture.

Karma smiled, "Let's go." she smiled, she nuzzled the pups gently one last time before she slowly padded outside, she sniffed the air and waited for Ginto to follow her outside. She warmed herself in the sun and basked in it's warmth. She stretched and scanned the area.

Dugo light up a little when Levi licked him and he licked the side of her muzzle."I just don't want anything to happen to the pups..." He looked at the balls of fur and smiled at them.

Solus shrunk together and the glow dissapeared from his eyes. "B-because I love you." he said, then he collapsed, his body not managing to take the pain and the fact that he was exhausted. He laid on the ground, his eyes blurry as he watched Stella. "K-kill me if you want... I won't stop you." he whispered and closed his eyes, prepraring himself for a fierce bite that would kill him at once.

Ginto followed soon after, giving a last look at the pups. He smiled and dipped his head to his parents, then he went outside and felt the bright, warm sun come on his dark fur, heating it up. He sighed and sat down, warming in the sun a while. Then he got up and sniffed the air, scenting for any prey that might be around. He scented a deer, and began stalking it. Soon enough, he had reached it and leaped, biting down on it's throat.

Levi smiled and licked him again. "I think that's a natural instinct. Males tend to grow protective over their families..." she said, getting it from the way Dugo had acted when Ginto was born. He had been rather protective then, and he seemed even more protective these days.

He smiled in relief when he saw a dead deer being dragged to both himself and Leia. Sauchin first nibbled a little, and then started to feast at the bottom. He stopped for a moment to say to Leia: "Here, you can eat the stomach area." Sauchin knew that the stomach always gave one the most strength, energy and stamina. He then continued to eat, his teeth strong after tearing many kinds of prey from his travels.

Leia limped over to the deer, tearing into the soft underbelly. Blood coated the light colored fur around her muzzle, but she didn't care as she ate, feeling strength returning to her tired muscles. Once she'd eaten her fill, she acknowledged his question by nuzzling him. "Unlike those other males, your attention doesn't annoy me."

Sauchin felt his face turn warm, and was glad that fur covered his skin which must have turned as red as his fur by now. To think that he had grown so attached, and he was surprised that Leia so quickly showed a softer side. He shook his fur awkwardly, and looked at the ground. In the blink of an eye, he decided. "Maybe we should get to know each other better. I must still seem like a bit of a stranger. How about sitting down and talk about our pasts a little?" He didn't want to hide anything anymore, and he knew that his words were more important than his fighting skills.

Leia sat down, tilting her head as she thought. "My past isn't really much to talk about. After I was born, my parents decided they didn't want any pups, so they left. I managed to survive on bugs and rainwater, and obviously survived, although I am a bit small. When I was a juvenile, a fire tore through my forest homeland. The flames caught me, but I found a river and escaped with only some minor singing. Not long after that, I met Atreus. The destruction of his forest, his parents actually, had devasted him, making him depressed and moody, and we soon became good friends because of that. I apparently made him happy. Soon though, I realized that forest was dead, one serenche couldn't live there, let alone two. So, after arguing with Atreus, I left. He stayed behind to care for the injured forest, but caught up with me after finding signs of life, some plants were growing through the ashes. He would bring back these shiny things that he found in the fire, they were sharp, so I had him put them in my ear." She flicked the ear, jangling the rings that adorned it before continuing. "Soon, his actions around me started changing. He began acting rougher, and trying to mate with me. He still doesn't realize the damage that fire caused me, along with lack of nutrition growing up. Because of his constant advances, it made me even more aware of my issues, so I distanced myself from him, both physically and emotionally. I started snapping whenever he got too close, and running whenever he started towards me. He doesn't seem to understand that I don't want him." She shook her head, her mind tracing over the day when those flames had taken something very dear to her.
